Here is the fax I received from her doctor today.

Where do I go from here. I know B12, but anything else?

If you haven't seen my other post, her poops were good all evening. It just seems like during the day for some reason they get a little softer and yellower.

Cobalamin 805 mg/L     "normal"

Folate 12ug/L  "normal"

Pancreatic Lipase Immunoreactivity < 30 ug/L

TLI 0.3 ug/L   Diagnostic for EPI

Notes were: the TLI test was repeated to verify the results

Hi Leslie ~

They did test Bella's B12 Deficiency.....it;s the "Cobalamin" reading.  805 is great... the normal range is: 252-908 ng/L

HOWEVER, with and EPI dog, even if the reading is in the normal range but on the low normal (for example 300-350) we still advice to supplement with B12.

But you do not have to worry, Bella's is in the high normal range.... YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Her Folate level is also good.... the Normal range is: 7.7 - 24.4 µg/L...

Olesia, owned by Izzy-45lb SWD, Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.3, Stable almost 6 yrs! Once stable, was able to reduce enzymes to only 1/2 tsp of Enzymes with each meal, but after almost 4 years of stabilization... had to increase the amount of enzymes to 3/4 to 1 teaspoon with each meal. Feed various grain-free kibble+real meat, 6x pancreatin enzymes from EnzymeDiane. I give 1 tsp of coconut oil one day and 1 tsp salmon oil next day, and also give canned sardines packed without salt or canned herring for extra omega oils.

That is great news then. Does her B12 have to be tested from time to time?

Her stools have been great all day. Nice and dark, not too dry. My fingers are crossed!!!! My son couldn't believe I came home and examined the stool, he thought I was crazy to get so excited about it.

I got an e-mail from Dr Clark, they want a sample from Bella. The want to eval blood from a bully and also Clemson is doing research on Cleft Palated in Bulldogs. I am sure my Vet will do it at no cost, but I will find out Friday.

Hope everyone had as good a day as Bella.
