   Hello fellow epier's!

I just checked the web page of the breeder of my Aria.   He had another litter of pups (less than a year later) with the same parent dogs of my dog.  He refunded my money after learning about Aria having epi and told me that the sire's sister has epi!   He also advertises him for stud service!  Now there are eight more potencial epi cases!!!   I am just in shock!   He told me he would not breed them again!   I wonder if legal action could be taken????  to prevent him from breeding again!!   Maybe he should pay for the care of Aria and all the epi babies he produces!!

I would love to tell everyone his name and kennel name if it is ok?

Hi Robin~

That is awful!!!!!!!! Obviously that particular breeder is not a good steward of the GSD.

I can understand how frustrated and furious you are about this unjust act.... but using this FORUM to discredit someone else is not allowed nor would it be the right venue. However...... if you want to do something about this.... please contact the German Shepherd Club of America http://www.gsdca.org/index.php from what I understand, they are very concerned about GSD breeding ethics.

You can also go to Animal Freedom http://www.animalfreedom.org/english/reaction/reaction.html and write about this situation to be posted on the internet.

Oh.... and I also want to thank you very much for asking first. I really appreciated that!

I think there is a GSD FORUM or blog ... that you might be able to speak about this on... i'll check and let you know.........

Olesia, owned by Izzy-45lb SWD, Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.3, Stable almost 7 yrs! Once stable, was able to reduce enzymes to only 1/2 tsp of Enzymes with each meal, but after almost 4 years of stabilization... had to increase the amount of enzymes to 3/4 teaspoon with each meal. Feed various grain-free kibble+real meat, 6x pancreatin enzymes from EnzymeDiane. I give 1 tsp of coconut oil one day and 1 tsp salmon oil next day, and also give canned sardines packed without salt or canned herring for extra omega oils.

There's another place you can list the information and that is Marj Zimmerman's DM site.  There's a place where you can list "whatever" is wrong with your dog and list lineage which often includes the kennel name, so that information shows up.  Olesia is right, this isn't the right forum for that information but you need to let people know.  I used to moderate a gsd forum where that information was listed and believe it or not, we were hacked twice.  Two of the moderators lost their computors, Two others had serious problems that cost a fortune to fix, and the owner and I had a few "bugs" to get worked out of our computers that we were able to do ourselves.  The FBI became involved, and I'm not sure what, if anything happened to the people who did it.  It became a little eerie after a while...we received threats to ourselves and families...gee, as I write this it sounds like a movie instead of real life doesn't it?  We finally shut the forum down.  I guess people didn't want the information on some medical conditions and the breeders they were coming from, getting out to the public.  There is a well known breeder in Canada who also now has a partner and second kennel in the US, who constantly breeds dogs with EPI (among many other medical problems).  It's too bad that people like her, can't be stopped.

Hi I know just how you feel, it is criminal.

When  the breeder was informed of Bonnie's condition, the Mum was already pregnant again by the same father only just 7 months after she'd given birth to her first litter of 7 which Bonnie was one of them, she had a litter of 11 the second time....doesn't bear thinking about.

At the time we didn't take much notice of the fact one of the puppies was poorly since birth and didn't thrive, she had swallowing/feeding difficulties, she later had to be PTS, Bonnie developed EPI at about 7 months and her sister Holly who my sister has, refuses to eat for days on end and literally starves herself, then binges.  How many more of their siblings have suffered and their owners devastated by the news?

Flogging is too good for these people.
