Wallace was at the vets this morning for a weight and health check; He has now been on the Lypex for four weeks and his weight has increased from 36.4 pounds on 12th June, today (10th June) he weighs 42.3 pounds He looks great and is so full of life; Now nearly 9 months old; Will increase his food slightly and back to the vets two weeks today. Antibiotic has been stopped today to see how he gets on without it! | |

Owned by Tara, a 8 YO GSD w/EPI and DM dx'd at about a year old. Fed Taste of the Wild Lamb formular kibble and enhance this diet with cooked meat, veggies and fruit, Enzymes: Pancreatin 8x - 1 tsp per cup of food. Suppliments include 1000 mg Wild Salmon oil, Glucosomine/Chondrotin/MSM and Probiotic acidophilus. HURRAY FIONA!!!!! Congrats on the wonderful weight gain with Wallace. So happy you seem to have turned the corner on this illness. It will only get better from here. BE PROUD OF YOURSELF!!!! You have done a great job, and saved a life. | |

Fiona - Thank you so much for the wonderful report on how Wallace is doing. You must be absolutely thrilled to have your boy back looking great and so full of life! That is quite a good chunk of weight! Fingers and paws crossed for you that he is able to stop the antibiotics without any setbacks... please update us all on how it goes.

Yahooo. So great that Wallace has turned a corner and is on the come-back trail. Congratulations. All that worrying and care is paying off wel.. Keep us posted int eh next week as he comes off antibiotics. | |

Once stable, was able to reduce enzymes to only 1/2 tsp of Enzymes with each meal, but after almost 4 years of stabilization... had to increase the amount of enzymes to 3/4 teaspoon with each meal. Feed various grain-free kibble+real meat, 6x pancreatin enzymes from EnzymeDiane. I give 1 tsp of coconut oil one day and 1 tsp salmon oil next day, and also give canned sardines packed without salt or canned herring for extra omega oils.

Hi Fiona and wallace, Thats absolutely fantastic news. What a weight gain!! It will be good news for Rob and Tara as they are just starting out on Lypex as Tara wouldn't eat food with powdered enzymes on it. Do let us know how Wallace is doing now off the antibiotics. | |
