This was my first bottle of enzymes and I completely estimated wrong as to how much I had left.  I am getting more tomorrow but Jade didn't eat yesterday and won't eat today if I wait to feed her until I can get them tomorrow.  I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's better to wait till I have the enzymes or if I should at least feed her one meal?  I am feeding her nature's variety raw, the chicken formula.

Hi, I'm sure the others more experienced will advise soon.  When Daisy first went on to Lypex ( a crystelized enzyme) I was giveing it to her with 2 of her 4 meals.  I then learnt that enzymes should be given with every meal otherwise the food will just pass through and so it is the same as not eating anything.  The others will correct me if I'm wrong.  Do you not have a vet nearby that opens all hours that could supply you enough for tonight?

Troy,

They do sell pancreatin 4X OTC so you might want to see if you can find some to tide you over. The potency is less than what you are currently using but you can up the amount. You could check some of the vitamin shops in your area.

Hi,

The advice here is correct...If you don't add enzymes to food, it will just pass undigested, which will not hurt, but will not help either...

BTW, I just want to make this a suggestion from our enzyme Angel, Diane (if you use Pancreatin)...She asks that everyone order their enzymes at least 4 weeks in advance so our emergency does not become her nightmare...For everything she does for us, I'm happy to oblidge!!!  :D
