Hi guys

need your advice once again!  Puppy just knocked off Mishka's tea from the side (how he reached I have no idea!) and woofed down the meat with the enzyme in it - it was well mixed in but I had literally only just done it.  Do I need to do or look out for anything?!!

Who woofed down the meat epi dog or non epi dog? It is my understanding it won't hurt the non epi dog.  and if it is epi dog  you mind have a nasty poop or 2.

Wanda.

p.s. damn they are fast!!!

Probably a little late now but I think I would have washed out puppies mouth quickly as the enzymes can be caustic... other than that I think puppy should be okay.

Both are non EPI - Mishka has an 'unknown' condition that the enzymes keep under control!  I was upstairs and the meat was on the counter top at the  back - so by the time I got down it was well eaten!

Mishka to his credit ran out the kitchen as soon as the bowl hit the floor (I could see from the top of the stairs!) and you could see him saying oh are you in trouble!!!!!!!!

Naughty Pup lol

I don't think it will cause any effect, so don't worry yourself.

I wouldn't worry too much - they give enzymes even before some are diagnosed so I really think you should be ok...man...you have to be quick!    Hope the pup is just fine...let us know...

HI Laura ~

All should be fine.......................with the sneaky little devils :D

I think i have seen that same look here in our household... i have 3 Spanish Water dogs... and when one of the girls do something B-A-D...the boy goes and hides behind the wall as if to say, "uh-uh... not me... i didn't do it!!!!"

Olesia, owned by Izzy-45lb SWD, Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.3, Stable almost 7 yrs! Once stable, was able to reduce enzymes to only 1/2 tsp of Enzymes with each meal, but after almost 4 years of stabilization... had to increase the amount of enzymes to 3/4 teaspoon with each meal. Feed various grain-free kibble+real meat, 6x pancreatin enzymes from EnzymeDiane. I give 1 tsp of coconut oil one day and 1 tsp salmon oil next day, and also give canned sardines packed without salt or canned herring for extra omega oils.

No doubt it probably did no harm but I found out the hard -way that a non epi dog can injest toomuch of the enzymes. My older Belgian Terv. ate a whole bowl of Raven's (epi) food already mixed and poor Waki was sick for almost two weeks. He did it again and I tubed him and poured hydrogen peroxide down his throat and needless to say I am very careful not to leave any of Raven's food out! I read in one of my vet. books that it can be toxic to non epi dogs.
