Sparkle completed her cirlce of life yesterday and crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 11:20 am with her constant guardian, Molly (Brittany) by her side. The past few days have been very difficult, her diarrhea continued, upper respiratory infection worsen (even with changes in meds) and then she started to have seizures. It was at this point that she was diagnosed with distemper! I was blown away, a disease that should not even exist with availablity of vaccines. I want to be angry at her former owners or the shelter that she was in for 2 mns and obviously picked up the virus~they did not vaccinate her there either but Sparkle's life is too precious to me to waste my time on negative thoughts. Sparkle had only spent 28 days with us, however, she touched more lives and taught us so many lessons. I miss her horribly...my arms are empty and my heart is broken....you would think after 102 fosters, some who will join her at the Bridge, it would not be so hard, but it is.....Sparkle was a very tender, sweet girl right to the end. We communicated with our animal commumicator and I followed her wishes as she did not want to go as soon as I thought she should have...she wanted at least one more day (she said she knew she was very sick but wanted to stay because she had never felt a connection with a human before and was in love with her physical life) but wished for 3, she made it to 2. When you look up in the evening and see a special twinkle in the sky, know it is our Sparkle. Thank you all for welcoming us into your family. BTW, the enzymes have been passed along. I wish everyone the best of luck with your very special dogs, love them, kiss them and hug them a little extra hard today.
With Love and Light, Cathy and the Twinkle we call Sparkle

Oh Cathy, I'm so sorry! Will do as you ask and give our little one some extra love today and will think of you and Sparkle. Bless her heart, she wanted another day with you, this is making me cry, what a tug on the heartstrings, You are such a generous soul to open your heart to so many of these wonderful animals. Bless you too. Sending hugs your way, and in the Corgi tradition, sending arooooooooos too. Laurie

-- Pandora (Panda) TLI 4.6 Cobalamin 531 Folate 18 Panda was a rescue Pembroke Welsh Corgi, likely from a puppy mill. Bio case V Enzymes 3/4 teaspoon per cup of food, incubated 30 minutes. Metro for SIBO, Baytril and amoxicillin for Lyme, because she couldn't tolerate doxycycline. Milk thistle 75 mg a day while on the antibiotics. 1/8th teaspoon Green Blend vitamin mineral powder, working up to 1/4th teaspoon. Attempted to compromise between remedial dietary needs for gastric problems and remedial dietary needs for kidney problems with home cooked diet from Lew Olson's book "Raw and Natural Nutrition for Dogs". Passed away March 7,- kidneys, liver, gall bladder, neurological symptoms throughout. Even though we only had her two months, she is sorely missed.

after 102 fosters, some who will join her at the Bridge, it would not be so hard, but it is. ********************************* No, darling... it never gets any easier. It takes much love and lots of courage to take in fosters and recues.. you are one very special person. It is so sad that Sparkle wasn't given a vacine much earlier, just when she had found the one person she dreamed of and she could relate to... but 28 days although a short time she felt all the love she had missed... that was your gift to her... and her gift to you. Bless you, sweetie... go forward with love and light and KNOW this was a success, far greater than you realise. I will blow a kiss to the brightest star in the sjy tonight. Val

Oh Cathy, I am so sorry to read this. I would deninatlty be hurt and angry that something so preventable via a vacine could have taken her from you...I thought that is the first hing shelters did when recieving dogs is vaccinate them?
At least Sparkle knew love towards the end of her life and I personally would like to thank you for giving her that...It's so sad that she wasn't able to enjoy more of it, but I know she appreciated it...
