Here's a link to pictures of Lambeau when we brought him home at 8 weeks old: Lambeau

and some more current ones. He's 12 weeks old today. Smart little bugger and calm for a puppy (most of the time). He's over 30 lbs already. He and Maya are getting along really well (esp after Maya's monthly B12 shot!).

With big sister, Maya

Oh, Paula, he is absolutely gorgeous!  How exciting.  This is wonderful news....I  love his "whirling" act with Maya.   You just can't take enough puppy pictures.   Keep them coming.  What a beautiful face.

Congrats, congrats, congrats.  So happy for you.  And so glad Maya has opened her heart....and her territory to him.  But who wouldn't?

Thank you all for the compliments. He really is a cutie - and a dust mop! Although his breed started with German Shepherds (and mixed in Malamute) he is completely different from the 3 GSD puppies we've had over the last 15 years. He's much calmer; softer - not a working dog. Zoomies are very short-lived.

Here's a funny story: He hates the heat - must be the Alaskan part of him. 75 is way too hot. It got warm enough that we put on the air conditioner. Where did he park himself? On the A/C vent - blocked the whole thing. Hilarious! It's his new favorite spot.

It took Maya a few weeks to really accept him. It was a little scary at first - the rule setting was pretty intense. I think now he's big enough that she can start to play with him. A game of tug occurred the other night. She let him win. When it came time to play chase though, Maya was confused that he didn't want to chase her - definitely a different energy level.

That is interesting that you can see so much difference in his energy levels from a german shepherd... how is he in comparison to the GSD tendency to be a land shark?  When Scout came home at 9 weeks we were careful also as Boss chasing a small fast moving object like a puppy had us concerned that an accident could happen... but with some baby gates and limiting the playtime to small areas under close supervision until she was bigger around 12 weeks, everything worked out fine.   It is always so fun watching two pups play together... enjoy... and take lots of pictures for us to enjoy also!!!   How are you doing with the 2:00 AM pee breaks?

Thanks, Nicole - yes, my hubby's a longtime Packers fan . Lambeau even has a Green Bay collar, but we bought a large one so he wouldn't outgrow it. Olesia, it's scary how smart he is. Learned "leave it" in one session - very VERY food motivated. This is going to be interesting.

Uh-oh, you've got Jemima looking at the working dog rescue puppy pages again

Lambeau is gorgeous and I detect a hint of devil in that little sideways look. Coupled with being a fast learner you, my dear Paula, are going to have your work cut out with this smart little munchkin! Can't wait to see how he grows up and post as many pictures as you wish, there's nothing like a puppy diversion to lift the spirits of all forum members!

What a cuuutie!! Puppies just have a way of lifting the spirits, don't they. Maya looks the big sister part already. It's so fun to watch them interact together & learn from the older ones.  Take tons of photos, they grow so fast!
