I just came back from vacation, and after 2.5 weeks of being away I went and picked up Jewels from my parents house where she was staying. The first thing I said when I saw her was "Holy she is fat!" She gained another 1.6lbs while I was gone. That brings her up to 17lbs! I thought she was stabolizing at 15.8lbs but she decided to gain a bit more. I will gladly take a fat dog over what she used to be. From 9.2lbs to 17lbs is amazing to me. My parents had seen Jewels through this hard journey and when I dropped her off they were shocked. She looked completely different, so much healthier. My mom was nearly in tears and my dad ran to get the camera so he could take her picture. Its a great feeling that people can see a difference in her and that they appreciate what Ive done for her.

But I know I wouldnt have gotten far without the help of everyone on this website. So thank you all who have helped us!

Hi Ashley..... this is such wonderful news.... i am so happy for you and Jewels.....what a fanstastic weight gain..... but of course, now you need to whip out that camera and take current pictures of her. If i remember correctly, you bring Jewels with you to work? And it is a store? If so, i would love to do EPI brochures for your with her before and after pictures so that people can see what a remarkable recovering Jewels has obtained with your loving care and management and it would be a nice way (i think) to help spread the word about EPI... if you would like to do this, just email me privately (olesia.kennedy@gmail.com).  ALso.... i can use an updated picture  so that we can very happily add Jewels to the Chunky Monkey Club!!!!

Olesia, owned by Izzy-45lb SWD, Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.3, Stable almost 7 yrs! Once stable, was able to reduce enzymes to only 1/2 tsp of Enzymes with each meal, but after almost 4 years of stabilization... had to increase the amount of enzymes to 3/4 teaspoon with each meal. Feed various grain-free kibble+real meat, 6x pancreatin enzymes from EnzymeDiane. I give 1 tsp of coconut oil one day and 1 tsp salmon oil next day, and also give canned sardines packed without salt or canned herring for extra omega oils.
