Long-haired GSD, from Queens, NY; dx EPI 12/2010; was 45 lbs; now is 82 lbs; diet consists of Taste of the Wild Pacific Salmon; 1 1/3 cups x 3 daily, sprinkled with about 1 tsp EnzymeDiane's 8x per cup and incubated about 35 minutes. Treats: Home-made chicken jerky as well as freeze-dried liver [store-bought]. He also adores Himalayan MYak Milk treats, which pass undigested through his system, but boy! does he love chewing them up!

We would love to see the before/after photos here too!  Can you post here.  Since you have them on photobucket you can just post here by replying and clicking on the icon to the left of the Smiley Face above the text area and it should bring down a place for you to put the URL for the individual photo from photobucket.....

Mom of two EPI Shiloh Shepherds:

Pharaoh born Nov. 2007 and dx with epi December 2009.   Pharaoh weighed 62.4 lbs. (15 lb. weight loss) when diagnosed in 12/2009.

Weight 10/31/11 his weight was 76.6.

85lbs on 9/22/12.

Received six weeks of B12 shots Jan-Feb 2010 but his B12 on 8/10/2010 was only 232. So started weekly shots at home, which we continue to give.

His older half sister is  Taiko born Sept. 2006  and was dx with epi June 2010.  Since she has severe bilateral hip dysplasia she had always been on the thin side.  Taiko's weight was 70.7 lbs. in June 2010 (time of diagnosis; about a 10 lb. weight loss.

Weight on 10/31/11 was 80.4 and on 9/22/12 was 82.4 lbs.  B12 was 211 in June 2010 so started six weeks of shots and was only 293 on 8/10/10.  She receive B12 shots weekly at home.

Both are fed twice a day and we use either Costco grain free brand or Merrick BG brand:2 1/2 cups kibble in the morning and 4 oz cooked meat (usually steak) with 4 crushed tablets and in the evening 2 cups kibble with 4 oz cooked meat with 4 crushed tablets.

I click on Photobucket and it asks for the URL of the photo I want to upload; When I click on the Photobucket, it doesn't give me an address, just the photo, and now I have two of them! Perhaps it would be better if you asked Olesia to send you a copy of the before & after photo I sent her. There is only one composite photo, and you should be able to see it in the download I sent her. I'm just not used to this website yet. Sorry...

Great job wonderful wonderful that you really worked it.  What a beauty your dog is.  You must be soooooooo  happy.  love and bow wow kisses to your puppy dog.

Ruby doo bee lol  was diagnosed with EPI in June 2011. Lost 20 lbs  before told about the TLI from the vet.  Was diagnosed with  EPI test result was 2.0. No other tests given.  Gained back 6 lbs.   Finally, *8/11 had B12/Folate test taken ..(Vet delayed it) B12 is 216. Shots will start Monday. Not on shots anymore instead we use Wonderland B12 with intrinsic factor twice a day with each meal. Her B12 was tested and she is in a very safe range high.  Gained weight, she now 53 lbs.

Was on powder enzyems 1 tsp per 1 cup of food. Did well. I was allergic to powder and she started to not eat and bleed from the mounth and had other problems showing up.  Switched to tablets (didn't work).  Now on Creon Capsule 1capsule 24,000 units per 2 cups of food. Feeding 4 cups per day.  Natural Blance Venison and Sweet Potato plus a little lean boiled chopmeat.

Also started her and trying probiotics 1/18 of a teaspoon every other day. Seems to be working fine.

Hi Peter.. i see that you figured it out. What i would like to do is add this to our Before and After page...would that be okay with you?

Great pictures and love that it is side by side.... that really shows how well these dogs can do once you find the proper balance of treatment.

By the way.... Schneider is GORGEOUS!!!!

Olesia, owned by Izzy-45lb SWD, Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.3, Stable almost 7 yrs! Once stable, was able to reduce enzymes to only 1/2 tsp of Enzymes with each meal, but after almost 4 years of stabilization... had to increase the amount of enzymes to 3/4 teaspoon with each meal. Feed various grain-free kibble+real meat, 6x pancreatin enzymes from EnzymeDiane. I give 1 tsp of coconut oil one day and 1 tsp salmon oil next day, and also give canned sardines packed without salt or canned herring for extra omega oils.

Please go ahead and add this comp shot to your Before and After page. As I said in another email that may have been misdirected, I was wondering how one earns the "Member" appelation to one's profile photo. Is there a protocol of some kind? I am a member of the K9-Epiglobal. I'd love to be a member here as well.

Schneider is not only, as you put it GORGEOUS!!!!, he is a very happy dog.  I was walking him in the neighborhod for his 6AM walk today, and a woman was taking out her garbage for collection. Schneider interacted with her, and she petted him [his fur/hair is very soft, and she remarked: "He is such a happy dog!" and he surely is. He's a rescue, and we knew about the EPI before we invited him to join our family, and we're so very happy that he decided to come and live with us. Maya [my wife] and I absolutely adore him.

I meant to post earleir he sure is good looking and you have done a good job and thank you for taking in a rescue EPI dog..

My bridge dog had loads of white fur and a white tip on her tail and pink and black paws....and really soft coat as though she has never lost her puppy fur.

Maddie is just getting that way now first proper summer coat with the EPI treatment .

Not sure what you mean about the profile photos we dont actually have a membership application here i am sure you will see a few yahoo members on here.
