I know many of you are on Facebook as well & also connected to the agility communities. Just wanted to make sure you all had read this amazing story of Elicia calhoun, internationally known agility trainer and champion, who was involved in a horrific car accident on Monday morning with her 6 dogs. Although, the ending is awesome, it is a bittersweet story & will make you shed a tear.

I thought of all of us who are so devoted to our animals & would do anything for them just as Elicia did when she checked herself out of a hospital with a punctured lung, to go search the highway for her missing dogs.

Here is the news link:

also, an expanded version & lots of pictures can be found on the Facebook page created for the rescue efforts.

Be sure and read the "about "section for a description of the story & the ending, cause there are literally 1000's of comments under each heading.

Over 6000 FB members to this page in 2 days have raised approx $30,000 to help offset the expenses associated with crash, vet bills & dog search.

Amazing!

And yet over in Melbourne, we Aussies have to read about something so ridicilous, it actually leaves me speechless - and when I do have speech, its not nice language.

All because of one idiot owner last year and his pitbull that killed a toddler. Anyone that knows anything about dogs can clearly see that those 2 weren't even pitbulls. How disgusting.

Sorry to jack the thread!
