Update!!!! Ralph is a Whopping 61.8 lbs!!!! yay!!!! he has gained 2.7 pounds in the past week!!! I am so greatful for all of your info!! Thanks everyone..

We now have him on 3/4 tsp per 2 cups of food and it seems to be working wonderful with him... Poops are good!! I think it might have been to much enzymes!!

I was hoping for 1 pound and we got almost 3!!

I take him into his vet every week to get weighed and his B 12 shots so we will be weighing him every week!! I am hoping we can get 2 more by next week!!

Thank you all for the warm welcomes and the help!! If it wasnt for all of you I would not know what to do with Ralph We still have a ways to go but I feel we will get there soon!!!

Woo Hoo!  Almost 3 lbs in a week!

That's really wonderful!  Just keep an eye on things and if you start to see things take a turn for the worse, you may have to adjust the enzymes again.

Yippeee!  Three whopping pounds.   Awesome!   We didn't see that kind of weight gain for quite a while.  Impressive!   Congratulations.  Keep the good news coming.

Congratulations on the weight gain!  That's wonderful!

We fix Pixie's food on the kitchen counter, and luckily my dogs aren't tall enough to counter surf, so we just leave her bowl there while it incubates.

Woooo... A great gain and a Happy Poop Dance.

You are doing fabulous and we all celebrate with you... tears in the car?... oh, yes I can understand that it took me a year to get Razzy back from 34 kgs to 42 kgs and I have never celebrated better.

Yep, all the food is prepared in the kitchen for dog meals... only the raw is prepared and put in the freezer in the utility room. More space there and a lot of raw to deal with. The utility has become my 'play-room' where I do dog stuff, make jam and start home-made wine fermenting, hubby says at this time of year it smells like a brewers kitchen.

Ah, I solved that years ago when Rob made me wooden dish holders that keep the dishes off the floor and I think I read somewhere once that a raised dish helps GSDs to eat more slowly and reduces the risk of bloat... that is one thing that really does scare me, even the thought of bloat gives me nightmares.

I guess we all have one fear that bugs us.

I've not signed on for awhile, as Goldie has been doing so well.  It's been almost a year now....hard to believe.  I'm so glad you and Ralph found this site, it helped me tremendously and the folks here are great and so supportive.  Goldie rebounded fast too, sometimes it's hard to read the posts from people who have a harder time, I don't know why she was so lucky.  I'm glad Ralph is doing so well and will try to check back more often with everyone.
