About Me

Moxi was a black lab born 7/16/12 and diagnosed as emerging EPI at 8 months old. TLI 4.6/Cobalamin 326/folate >20. She battled Parvo when we first got her and beat it! Got back up to 41# from a 24# low. Kidneys failed at 13 mths unrelated to EPI. Went to the Rainbow Bridge 8/15/13 :(. She DEFINITELY had "moxie" to fight through so much!

My name is Pat. I'm a high school math teacher married for 28 years to a high school football coach/biology teacher. We have three skin kids, all boys - South is 25 & a high school football coach/teacher, Kole is 22 and Sawyer is 19 - both are college students.

We now have new pup Sadie (walker hound/lab) adopted 2/23/2014

I tell everyone I had to have a female dog so I wouldn't be the only bitch at my house :)

Thanks so much Pat. We had a great day hiking in the beautiful leaves. I love the picture too but I wish I could get it to be a bit smaller- it's like BAM when you get to my signature.

Thank you Pat! It is very scary and frustrating when you feel like there is nothing you can do. It took several months for Minnie to gain a "healthy" amount of weight back. Each oz she gained gave me more hope and enthusiasm! She finally got the light back in her eyes and started to be herself which was the best part of it all. I encourage everyone to stay positive and enthusiastic for their babies as they are tuned in to our emotions! Minnie has been healthy for a year and 4 months now on pancreatine 6x. She is still very active (and sassy) at 8 and a half years old. I am so happy to let people know that with proper management your pet will be healthy and happy again!!!!

Aww thank you so much for asking about Dizzy, during your difficult time. Dizzy's eyes are doing great. The last med she was put on is working perfectly. No flare ups!

Hi Pat! Pixie seems to be feeling good now, but her poop still isn't perfect...sometimes it looks really good, then there'll be some that look suspicious. She's on tylan, so hopefully it'll clear up soon and get back to normal consistently. Thanks for asking!

Hi Pat!

Belated hello and welcome from Mahi and me. Moxi is so beautiful - just look at her coat shining - you're doing a great job!

Look forward to seeing her stabilize and progress - you're in exactly the right place for great help and guidance.

Awww...thank you so much Pat. I am doing much better today - yesterday it just "threw me for a loop". Misty is such a huge part of me being where I am today and I fully understand she is still with us - just in different ways. Now I feel like she can be with my mom and my mom with her. She was such an incredible dog - honestly, they all are, in there own special way. Hugs to you and Moxie - thanks again Pat
