About Me
Hello all, I'm Val and have a big, snobby shep called Razzy. She has had EPI for about 2 and half years now and is doing fine (when she is not playing me like a violin to get treats.) We have been using Tryplase capsules for all the time she has had the condition and it worked well but we are in the middle of changing to Lypex capsules because she has decided she doesn't like the pre-digested enzymes in her food anymore, so if anyone uses Lypex I would be interested in their comments. We live in Telford, Shropshire UK and hubby and I are retired now. Just as well because we started giving Razzy a raw diet a year ago and it's been a maze with her being allergic to so many things....this lass is a full time job but she is worth it, even though I keep telling her I will put her on ebay one of these days. I hope to get to know you all in time but bear with me because I tend to vanish now and then. Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Please try again. 9 Comments
Hi hon
Yes it was sad to lose my Razzy and it hit so hard, but she left me a legacy to help others like her. Through my girl I came to know some wonderful people all over the world and I have so many pictures of her with lovely memories. From a child I learn how important dogs are because they bring people together... try walking on your own and no one will stop and talk... but walk with a dog and you make freinds every 10 yards. When Olesia started this forum she asked if I would help and looking back she has made a place that is very special... I love popping in and seeing how everyone is... and maybe give a smile if I can, or a bit of 'old lady' advise... its like being the 'elder' of a big family.... and I get to see some gorgeous puppers. Nice to hear from you, hon and give that sweet Holly a big hug from me in Telford UK. Val
Did you lose your Razzy? How sad. Thanks for supporting us all on this forum.
Val,
I'm just learning this forum and I have to say, Your girl is the only long coat/fluffy (as the Corgi world calls them) I've seen here! I love her!! While I was adiment about a non-coated dog, when I purchased Tara, I now have a long coat rescue, Zoey and I love them too! The only issue here is grooming....Zoey needs to be done every 8 weekks and it's expensive....but hell, she's earned her keep... Donna
Hi Val,
Thanks for your reply-makes things a wee bit clearer, will speak to my vet about Lypex and what made her prescribe the Panzyme. I see you give Razzy a raw diet could you tell me why and what it consists of and also i see you give her treats, what kind of things do you give her. I know i'm asking a lot of questions but being new to this is a bit scary and i don't want to do anything that might harm Belle cause shes soooo very very special to me. She never seems to put on much weight, before diagnosis she was 3.1kg she is now 5.8kg-not very big eh! any way your help and advive would be great Thanks again Elizabeth
Hi Val,
Great to hear from you. Everyone talks about all this different medication and its a wee bit confusing. I have been using Panzyme powder as this is what my vet prescribed, i would be interested to hear how you find out about all these other things and also if your vet prescribed them Cheers Elizabeth and Belle Ayrshire
