About Me
Our Border Collie was diagnosed with EPI on 1st March 2010. He is 1year 8 months. The vet said she had never come across a Border Collie with EPI. She said he would need a course of Vitamin B12 injections and would need to take Lypex for the rest of his life, but if we could source fresh pancreas there would be no need for the Lypex. We have had no success sourcing fresh pancreas. Can anyone help? We took him to the vets today for his second injection and when the vet weighed him he had gained 1kg in a week but is still only 12kg. At the moment he is being fed on Hills prescription dried. Is there any other suitable food we could give him. He seems to be drinking a lot more water than usual - is there a reason for this.
