About Me
Mahi, which means "My Beloved", female GSD 3 yrs old now, diagnosed when she was 10 months old. Was 60 lbs before getting sick, went down to 46 lbs before being diagnosed and after treatment has stabilised at 55 lbs. Is still very thin but very active and would give most other dogs a run for their money.
We live in a very small town in India and the vet hasn't even heard of EPI. We managed a correct diagnosis and have put her on enzymes - Enzar Forte which seemed to be the only thing available here. After joining the forum I have been guided every step of the way by kind and generous souls and changed diet to grain free, changed enzymes to Creon (which I found by some miracle in a tiny pharmacy in this tiny town) and we are finally taking tiny steps towards improvement. Mahi's story is proof that even in the smallest of towns, even with the most limited resources, EPI can be managed and success can be found. Mahi and the rest of us will be eternally grateful to the people on this forum who made it all happen. Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Hi Devika, I do not know what part of India you are in, but have seen some information on the earthquake in northern India, near the border with Nepel and Tibet. I hope you and all family and friends are safe and not affected by this earthquake. I know a number of deaths have been reported and hope that there are fewer than they fear.
