Hey Shirl - thanks again for the info - I switched Doc to TOTW Sierra Mountain as it had no fish in it and 4% fiber - i thought he needed a bit more fiber since his puppy food was 3.9% - his ears have cleared up - no more licking paws and poop looks better!!

Thanks again - the only other thing I can think of is that because Royal Canin doesn't have "real" meat - it has "chicken by product meal" is that Doc may not be able to digest the real meat and because RC is so broken down it's easier for him to digest. Gonna try the Nature's Variety first but Royal Canin is sending me a small bag of the GSD Adult - he had perfect poop on the GSD Puppy before being diagnosed. Thanks again!

Thanks Shirl. I found where you were using the Nature's Variety Limited Ingredient Lamb and looked into that - it does not have yeast and has a little bit more fiber so I think i'm going to get a small bag to try. Thanks so much!!

Hi Shirl. I was using the advance forum search to find information about yeast - I'm thinking my EPI dog might be allergic to yeast and saw that you wrote your non-epi dog was allergic to yeast - SO - i was wondering what food you feed for that? Thanks

Moxie is a 4.5 year old female PWD. She started having cow patty wheat colored elimination and started losing weight. She went from being a picky eater to being ravenous at all times. After visits to the vet and blood testing she was dx with PEI. The vet put her on pancreatic enzymes and we added probiotics. She started holding her wieght after being put on hypoallergic dog food. At this time she has gained back 2 of her 8 LB loss--Moxie started at 40lbs-- her elimination seems to be stabilizing with 1 cup of her old high protien dog food and 1tsp of pancreatic enzymes. She is still hungry and looking around after eating. We had her on 2 cups 2x a day of the hypoallergic food?? The high protien food seems to be better. WE soak it in water and the enzyme powder for 20 minutes. I haven't given her a b12 injection yet. My goal would be for Moxie not to be so hungry--be satisfied with her food--maybe it is too soon. I am also afraid to give her any other food ideas i.e., sweet potatoe raw food yet??
