About Me
Shelby, our pure bred border collie, is struggling with what we believe to be EPI. She is currently about 1 year old and seemed to start to have all the symptoms of this when she finished her first heat last October. We had about $500.00 worth of medical bills and could not afford to have the EPI test done, so we opted to put her on Panakare Plus and B12 shots in hopes that it would correct the problem. She is more energetic and has put on some weight but is still covering our backyard with loose stools. Our vet has not been very supportive of a raw diet and I am not sure what to do. We love her but financially this is causing a strain on our budget and we would like to be able to use our yard again without constantly having to watch where we step. Any sugesstions would be greatly appreciated. **Shelby is now on Earthbound Holistic (Bison) Grain Free food and we think she is now up to 35 lbs. We have located a feed and seed store that we can get Tylan 100 Powder from and B12 Shots. We are headed in the right direction now thanks to this site. Thanks!!! Sherry in SC. I thought I had a local Feed and seed that would be a source for the Tylan 100mg and the B12 injections, but it now seems that they can't get those items. Does anyone have a good source that they have found good prices with? I need help knowing what to order on the B12 injections also. Not to be really graphic but the poo sees to finally be normalizing due to the food change-no grain, and the PanaKare Plus. Thanks to all who have reached out to help her!!
How long does it take for PanaKare to start working on firming up the stool. How do you clean the yard in the mean time? Is there anyone that knows of a vet that would specialize in this in Greenville, SC??
Can you give regular B12 pills to a dog or is there a place to get the B12 shots so that you can give them yourself? Thanks! |
