We think our dog has EPI. We have not done the TLI test to be sure, due to its cost. We are trying steroids for the next couple of days to rule out Addison's disease. Then we will try enzymes. My vet recommended Prozyme. Dose anyone use this? My vet did the x-ray film test yesterday and it did look as though my dog's poop dissolved it, which suggests the presence of enzymes. We know that this test is not reliable but just thought we'd try it for free. Any thoughts on the x-ray film test? My dog is 2.5 years old, we brought her over from the Philippines, she is a Filipino bread of "street dog" but looks like she has some terrier. She is a sweet dog. Her name is Meelou. She has been healthy up until about 1 month ago or so. I started noticing the yellow, cow patty like diarrhea. Then I noticed her loosing weight. Then she started pooping in the house, which is unlike her. Now I notice her tummy rumbling, flatulence and her eating her own poop. Her appetite is better than ever! She has lost 7lbs now, starting at 29lbs now 21.8. She is not her happy, playful self anymore. Any suggestions on the best brand of food to use when we try the enzymes?? Praying our puppy gets better! It's hard to see her suffering.
