Re: Creon Advice
Hi. We usually start at 1- 10,000 CREON per meal. This is from another post and our founder: "My thought is that you don't need so much CREON and WAY too much enzymes often triggers loose stools... In general, EPI dogs start with CREON 10,000 per meal and some have to increase that amount, usua...

Re: Advice for borderline EPI?
Welcome to you and your pup. Good for you and your vet for being proactive on starting the enzymes and they are helping. Yes you are in the tweenerville area for the EPI test. Was the B12 and folate checked at the same time? Is there a underlying condition for the low fat diet? EPI does not require ...

Re: Lucy - Another Newbie
I just measured. My kitchen is 12 feet long and 6 feet wide. So not very big. All it takes is standing between the 2 bowls and I face them away from each other. Yes, I am sorry you did post it in your signature. I would look in our food options and find a grain free kibble with no peas or legumes. J...

Re: UTI! Ughhhhhh
It is worth a try for sure. I usually add a probiotic and that helps.
Hopefully someone else will weigh in.

Re: Lucy - Another Newbie
Our two terriers do not have EPI or pancreatitis. The older eats The Honest Kitchen beef grain free and the other eats Royal Canin Dental diet. They eat at opposite ends of the kitchen and I stand in between until they are done. What diet are you feeding? EPI dogs usually are better on a grain free ...

Re: Lucy - Another Newbie
Hi Renee and welcome. Was Lucy put on B12 shots once a week for 6 weeks or started on oral B supplementation? The B12 needs to me in the mid to upper range around 600 or greater. It sounds like SID. Was Lucy given an oral antibiotic when she was diagnosed? We recommend Tylan 2 times a day for 45 day...

Re: Bad Breath
Hi Shawn, I would think that you might need to just try this recipe however I know it costs for each recipe and the Balance-It amount changes. The sweet potatoes, brown rice and pumpkin supply most of the fiber so if it is too much you might be able to adjust up or down. I would probably drop the ri...

Re: Bad Breath
I am in agreement with Jane. Seems too high in grains and legumes and as noted grains interfere with the efficacy of the enzymes. Also Jane's advice on fat was spot on.

Re: HELP/ADVICE/ENZYMES
Hi Lynn, nice to have you check in. How is Elsies B12 level? How is she getting along? Some dogs have a smell to them on enzymes that lessens as time goes on and some continue to smell. I can remember Mickey used to smell like throw up. Here is a poll you might be interested in: https://epi4dogs.com...

Yay for solid poops!
Was she food fasted for 8 to 12 hours before her blood draw on Monday? That is a requirement for a Tli test.
Good luck.
