Re: Recently Diagnosed

Hi Ali and welcome to you and Nova. I am sorry your pup has been having issues. Will you please post the results of the Tli, and B12 if it was tested with the Tli? It would help us to know the results. An Epi dog does best on a grain free diet(with peas and legumes not in the ingredients if you can ...

Re: Any Tips on Enzyme Dosage?

Am I reading right that you stopped the pre/probiotic and gave SE that you had better poops?
If so I would try the SE only for a few days.
I had a dog once that I never could find a probiotic thst worked.
Just a thought.

Re: Need Tips for Using Bagged Enzymes

Hi Cindy, welcome to you and Dixie. We would encourage you to post information about Dixie so we can help you. Somewhere down the line you might want to have the fasting cTli test to confirm Epi as long term use of pancreatic enzymes is not recommended if the dog is not Epi. There are other conditio...

Re: Tucker's Results Are In!!!!!!!

I ended up leaving Mickey on a low dose till he passed as he would get slimy poop.
When I search I don't see specific steps on weaning. I would probably keep one dose a day the same and reduce the 2nd by half or 1/4 for a few days. And work my way down.

Re: Tucker's Results Are In!!!!!!!

So reviewing your old posts I see you had Tucker down to 1/32 t twice daily. What happened. Did you work your dose back to 1/4 t twice a day?

Re: New Member - Melissa and Lucy

In Mickeys case he had chronic pancreatitis at least 2 years. His cPl remained >1000 (>200 is indicative of pancreatitis) and it was after implementation of the porcine enzymes his Tli came down and stayed around 25. So in his case his Tli did not remain elevated with chronic pancreatitis.

Re: New Member - Melissa and Lucy

Hi Melissa, if you strictly adhere to the low fat diet for pancreatitis she is ok? No bellyache posturing? With the poops being weird I would ask the vet for a 45 day course of Tylan and treat for SID(small intestinal dysbiosis). Are the poops ever covered with slime? The only way you will know if t...
