Re: Question about food

The one thing Montgomery can have as a "topper" is nutritional yeast, and he likes it very much. I reserve it for when he absolutely refuses to eat his food, and it doesn't take much to entice him. Low fat, high fibre, and high in B vitamins, it also smells and tastes like cheese, without the potent...

Re: Won't Eat

If your veterinarian hasn't given you one, get a pill gun. It makes it very easy to get the capsule to the back of the throat, and very difficult for the creature to spit back out. Follow with plenty of water.

Re: Just joined

Welcome!
It took a good six months with Montgomery, and every now and then we find we still have to tweak something or other. He was diagnosed four years ago. Hang in there!

Re: Tylosin In Canada

I'm not sure what she got me; I'll find out when I collect it to-morrow. I'll let you know. The clinic does know about this website and I suggested they check the section on SID. I'll see soon enough!

Tylosin In Canada

Hey, I just wanted to give a heads-up...! Montgomery's clinic informed me early last week that they were unable to get Tylosin powder any longer. It took them a few days but they were able to find an alternate source and I can pick up his new Tylosin on Monday. So...There are other options out there...

Re: Most cost effective place to buy pancreatin to treat Epi in GSD?

Diane, the only way I can describe the odour of the Pank-Aid would be to say: picture a small elevator. Put a few large, un-neutered tom cats in there for awhile with the door shut and no air-conditioning in the dead of August. The Pank-Aid was unreal. Thank you for your odourless product and my swe...

Re: Most cost effective place to buy prancreatin to treat Epi in GSD?

I'm in Ontario. Montgomery was on the Pank-Aid from the veterinarian, and thankfully I always keep a bit of a stock of enzymes because all of a sudden it was unavailable. I was really, REALLY nervous to switch him because he is super sensitive to change, but I am so glad I did. We went with Enzyme D...
