Quick update

One of our Corgi’s was diagnosed with EPI last winter in Feb, 2020. He’d lost body weight from 23lbs to 18lbs. After discovering the pancreatic deficiency I found this site. It’s been 14 months since we started supplementing enzymes (Enzyme Diane) and, after a few months, his health and energy level...

Re: 15 mo old Corgi w EPT

85% eye-hair recovery. Another few weeks he’ll be good as new. Most importantly after all this is that Mikko doesn’t look or act sick anymore. He had lost so much weight. He became very clingy. Even though he’ll never be “cured” of EPI, the enzyme supplement with his meals works wonders and will all...

Re: Eating Poop Again

Our EPI Corgi, Mikko, is a poop eater. With winter finally in retreat we’ve cleaned up the yard and are picking up the dog’s poo immediately every time we take them out. I would say that since the enzyme treatment he is better but I swear these corgis would eat their weight in food everyday if you l...

Re: 15 mo old Corgi w EPT

Thanks for all the nice comments. This site was the source of the majority of our research and pretty much all you need to treat your pet once you know your are dealing with EPI. Just placed my 2nd enzyme order through ED. I opted for the 8x this time. It should stretch a little farther. I’m going t...

Re: 15 mo old Corgi w EPT

Update: Mikko’s response to the enzyme’s has been as good as I could have hoped. He’s put on 5-6 pounds. His energy is fully restored. He’s acting like the naughty corgi puppy that he was before this deficiency kicked in. We’ve had no problem with his desire to eat with the enzymes added but we alwa...

Re: 15 mo old Corgi w EPT

MIkko had his first B12 supplement yesterday (at the dose recommended by Madelon). An hour later he was running laps around the house with his litter mate.

He’s getting his breakfast boost here shortly and then he and his buddy Ed will take us for a walk.

Re: 15 mo old Corgi w EPT

Hi and welcome to our EPI family!! So glad you went ahead and treated as if EPI. With a TLI that low you're almost at the definite diagnosis. I'm glad you switched foods to TOTW and got EnzymeDiane. The one thing I noticed is the B12 is good right now but without supplementing it might drop and the...

Re: 15 mo old Corgi w EPT

Mikko is doing great so far. Weight is stabile at 24lbs. I ordered the B12 and will give that as well soon. Not sure he needs it but apparently you can’t really overdose B12. I can really tell he’s feeling better. His energy level. His playfulness with his litter mate, Ed. He leads the team on walks...

Re: 15 mo old Corgi w EPT

Received the Enzymediane and made the switch no problem. Things are looking good at the moment. His energy level and personality are running full bore!

We’ll give this a few weeks and hope for an immune system boost. So far, so good.

Re: 15 mo old Corgi w EPT

This all coincided with his food switch. It would be so easy to blame it on the new food but his brother did just fine. Unfortunately Mikko just has some medical problems. The problem he has with tearing and hair loss around is eyes is flaring up again. He also has some frequent unirnation issues th...
