So I forgot to mention she has been on slippery elm for almost a year. B12 since last summer. Thanks for telling me about the weaning off, I’ll be sure to do that. Any advice about her odor? I keep dog deodorant handy, that helps.
Thanks

After researching this site, I printed out all the information about Tylan. I took my calendar with my record of her diarrhea to my vet. (This ...

Re: Tylan
Yes that’s the bottle I have. I gave her 1/8th tsp with dinner. She didn’t seem to mind. I’ll increase it 1/4 tsp. Xieri will be 8 next week and weighed 82 lbs this week. At her worst she was 54 lbs. Enzymes and B12 has helped a great deal. I’m hoping the Tylan will help control the bouts of diarrhe...

Hi. Xieri, my GSD has EPI. Frequent bouts of diarrhea over the last 3 months. She is taking enzyme and oral B12. I took her to our vet and asked for Tylan. I just received Tylan powder. The order says give 1gram per day on food. Any tips on how to give? Should I sprinkle it on her food.? Thanks.

Much improved
I increased Xieri’s enzyme to 1 tsp per cup of food. I had been giving her 1 tsp per meal according to the vets instructions. I think that has really made the difference. For the last few days she has had normal stool. Amazing really. She used to go many times a day. It’s still early to say the diar...

Tylan
My 7 yr old GSD has been on Pancreplus for 2 yrs for EPI. She has been having frequent bouts of diarrhea. My vet prescribed metronidazole. I emailed my vet about Tylan and she stated she thought it was difficult to get. Is this True.?
Thanks,
Pam
