Re: Amount of Enzymes
Thanks for the encouragement Jean She was thin when we got her as a rescue in Aug 2018.... 25kg. She has only lost 3.4kg ... but didn't have it to lose. I think we were "lucky" to catch this relatively early due to her working on other ailment (eosinophilic gastroenteritis)thinking that sh...

Re: Amount of Enzymes
I think we have things sorted out now ... at least for this 1st part of the journey. We have enough Tylosin for the course of 45 days and then the described weaning period. We are doing 4 smaller meals a day (our other dog Tazza is in heaven since we are doing the same for her!) There hasn't been an...

Re: Amount of Enzymes
Ok ... I will hang off on the coconut oil and try a little more food. Is it reasonable to go higher then 150% of the suggested amount? That is where she is at right now.... or should I just break that down to 4 meals a day instead of 3? I will get the Tylosin sorted out with the Vet. She was going t...

Re: Amount of Enzymes
I am very happy to know that we are at least on the right track with the B12 injections...and over the moon to learn the proper way to wean off the Tylan. I don't suspect my Vet knows that as it was never mentioned. Thank you all so much for your responses. Each time I log on to read them and other ...

Re: Amount of Enzymes
Thanks Shirl ....you have alleviated my concern about "overdose" by enzyme. We ordered the 8x so started her at 3/4tsp. per cup. We've just finished switching her from Pank-Aid to Diane's ...so far so good. I did a poop celebration in the back yard, praising her on its awesomeness yesterda...

Re: Most cost effective place to buy pancreatin to treat Epi in GSD?
Just a couple of quick comments: - We just this week switched our 3 yr old GSD Crs from Pank-Aid to DIane's enzymes with no problems. We did it the same way (perhaps unnecessary?) as with a new food, by slowly reducing the Pank-Aid and slowly increasing the new enzymes. - Katniss didn't notice anyth...

Re: Amount of Enzymes
Hi Jean ...and thank you for your response. Once we get the EPI under control the Vet advised we might be able to revisit the food choice. The prescription food is working for her Gastroenteritis so we don't want to change anything to effect that right now. We have increased her food intake by 50% a...
