Re: New here - meet Johnny!
It’s been a bit so just popping in with an update on Johnny! Life has put me through the wringer these past few months but he’s been right there with me through ER visits, work meetings, and everything in between. He’s doing really well on a combination of kibble and home cooked food (lots of chicke...

Re: ZEUS: Another Newbie!
Hey!! Welcome to you both!! Johnny is one of the few dogs who does much better on weekly injections than he does oral B12 - something about the oral B12 he does not process well and he was having to take 8-10x the recommended amount. So we do weekly injections at home instead! I would highly, highly...

Re: Bali’s story: We need healing vibes and support
You’ve gotten a lot of great advice and I can’t offer much aside from recommendations of specific things that have worked for us. But I wanted to stop by and say hang in there, you guys can do it! I have trained my own EPI dog over the past two years and he is a fully trained service dog for me now....

Re: New EPI diagnosis, Felina does not like the enzymes
Some things that really help Johnny want to eat his food: *mixing in a freeze dried/dehydrated food he loves and can tolerate (we use Grandma Lucy’s with a lot of success but there are a lot of options) *goat milk *cottage cheese *eggs *raw mixed in (for example this morning he got chopped raw beef ...

Re: Exercise and EPI
I asked the same question at first, too! When Johnny first came home he couldn’t walk more than ten minutes at a time. Any more than that, he would lay down on the ground and refuse to get up.
If you were pushing him too much I think he would let you know!

Re: New here - meet Johnny!
Had what is probably a silly question - anyone have any suggestions for traveling with enzymes? Johnny and I went on a trip last week, I messed up and packed the bag of enzymes (thankfully it was almost empty but still… it was a good few spoonfuls) loose and it spilled all over my suitcase 😂 I guess...

Re: Poo Question
Just popping in to leave a list of some of the things that have helped Johnny and I! I am the same way and have spent a lot of time fretting over whether or not he is getting everything he needs, even if outwardly everything appears fine. We have leaned a lot into natural supplements but obviously e...

Re: EPI puppy?
Johnny was about that old when he was diagnosed! Almost two years later and he lives a very happy, active, and healthy life as my service dog. He also attends agility classes and frequently hikes and plays at the park! I had those same worries but you would never know looking at him now that he stru...

Re: Grandma Lucy’s Dog and Cat Food and Treats - work well for EPI dog!
Of course!! I am really glad they have worked for others as well! Tried out the Moxie Beef recipe this week and Johnny is in love!! Wolfing down his food like never before. It seems to disguise the taste of the enzymes and supplements really well. My picky cats really like the Moxie Turkey as well! ...
