Re: My husky has been on enzymes for two years and is starting to not want to eat her food with them

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Turns out she’s just a husky being husky (very dramatic). We gave her the tiniest sprinkle of Parmesan and she’s happy to eat.

My husky has been on enzymes for two years and is starting to not want to eat her food with them

My husky, Nova, (4 year old female) has been on enzyme powder for about two years now. They have worked so well and she hasn’t had any problems until the last month or so. She doesn’t like to eat as much and we believe it’s because of the water that we have to use with the enzymes making her food we...

Re: Upset Tummy

Thanks for the suggestion! Nova doesn’t tend to last as long between meals so I wanted to make sure I had an option if she didn’t seem ready for her regular food. She has had a solid poop now and perked up on our short walk so it seems that she’s all good now, but definitely going to be keeping a cl...

Re: Upset Tummy

Hi Jill, No food, just foamy bile with grass. She had some very loud stomach gurgles but after she threw up they stopped and she hasn’t had any burping or gas. She’s on a probiotic supplement. It’s been a few hours since she threw up and she hasn’t had any issues and just napping (it’s a normal nap ...

Upset Tummy

My almost three year old husky was up most of the night with an upset tummy. She had no bowel movements, didn’t want to eat or drink, and was chewing on a lot of grass with loud stomach gurgling. After awhile she threw up and appears to be feeling back to normal ever since (she drank a good amount o...

Re: Soft stool on enzymes

You didn’t read wrong, I wrote wrong! 2 cups, 2x per day for a total of 4 cups/day with 2tsp of enzymes per meal. I’ve seen the poop chart, Nova tends to fall at a 2 or 3. Thanks for the treat recommendations!

Re: Soft stool on enzymes

Hi Jane, Thanks for all of the information! She’s already doing much better. I guess when I said low fat diet I needed to be more specific. She is currently on the hill science for sensitive stomach as recommended by her vet. As far as treats go, we’re sticking to things with lower fat and fiber con...

Soft stool on enzymes

My 2 year old husky was diagnosed with EPI about 6 months ago and has been on enzymes ever since. She has been doing really well on her enzymes and we keep her on a lower fat diet. In the last few days she’s been starting to have very soft stools and flatulence just like before she was on enzymes. I...

Recently Diagnosed

Hi everyone, My name is Ali and my 2 year old husky mix, Nova, was just diagnosed with EPI about 2 weeks ago. For a little bit of background, Nova had a sudden onset of diarrhea in early May and was found to have a large overgrowth of clostridium in her stool. She was put on metronidazole and wet fo...
