Flare up?
Greetings, My Harper girl was diagnosed back in June and after some suggestions from this group, made progress. She had been stable since mid-August. About 10 days ago she had diarrhea, yellow cow patty like stuff she had before diagnosis. I had not made any changes but she does get to go off leash ...

Tylan causing diarrhea
Hey guys, Harper has been doing better since her diagnosis a little over a month ago, poop hasn’t been perfect but better and she’s gained a few pounds. We were finally able to get some Tylosin and started her on it last Thursday (just 6 days ago) at first her stools improved but over the last coupl...

Re: New EPI dog
Hi Madelon! I have been giving her a B12 capsule 2x a day! I guess that’s wayyy too much. I’m feeding her Hills science diet ID chicken and rice, the fiber is right at 4% before the vet put her on this I fed her Taste of the Wild pacific salmon so I’ve been thinking of switching her back to that. Th...

Re: New EPI dog
Hey all, So we started enzymes almost 4 weeks ago now. So far she’s gained just over a pound (I am feeding her 150%) and had mostly firm stools. I would say most of her poops still fall as a 4 on the chart, although she does have a 3 most days. The other issue is the color, I’d say 60% of the time i...

Re: New EPI dog
I think I have attached pictures of Harpers blood work, I don’t see cobalamin listed and when I asked my vet about it she said “I can take your money and check her B12, or you can supplement her with b12 tablets now” so I ordered the wonderland with intrinsic factor and they came today. Harper weigh...

Re: New EPI dog- TLI results
I picked up a copy of Harpers test results for the TLI test and her results are 1.6 ug/L. I have no idea what that means, I also have a copy of the bloodwork they did but idk if any of that info is relevant, she was within normal ranges on everything.

Re: New EPI dog
Jean, Harper has had bloody diarrhea the last 2 days. I am attributing this to “surfing” as she threw up some grass shortly before this started. I called my vet and she said she could start her on metro now but they don’t keep tylosin on hand and it could be weeks before they can get it from the uni...

Re: New EPI dog
Wow, I am just blown away by all of your kindness and responses. Thank you all. Jean, yes she has tummy rumbles and GAS. She did not have gas like this before we started the enzymes so that’s probably pointing to a SIBO issue right? I ordered SE from Wonderlabs last night so hopefully we can start t...

Re: New EPI dog
Thank you Jean!! So the reason for the Hills is this, I fed Taste of the Wild to Harper and my other 2 dogs but when Harper started having chronic diarrhea the vet thought maybe the Rx diet was the solution, Harper does have a history of a sensitive stomach so I was on board with us. Obviously that ...
