Re: How to Stop the Vurping
By refilled the enzymes, I meant I have a smaller airtight container which I keep out for daily use and a kilo stored cold and dry which I refill from. Ensures I'm never in a panic about running out of enzymes. I don't use a probiotic normally since the vurping usually isn't an issue. Thats a good i...

How to Stop the Vurping
My EPI pup, Katara, has been stable for the last few years but this month we're had a big spike in vurping and now vomiting too. Ive made no changes to enzyme or slipper elm amounts, her poops are still good, qnd she's not any more ravenous than her usual food motivated doggy self. I can only think ...

Re: Too expensive
I'm in Canada and worried about the cost too. I calculated through every available enzyme I could get and it was between enzymeDiane in bug batches or pantenex. I tried pantenex but Katara needed 4x as much as she did with enzyme Diane.
So far, her enzymes seems like the only viable bulk option.

Re: How long do enzymes last once mixed with food?
I've made enzymed food up to 3 days in advance without any issue. Katara seems to digest just fine and have no issues with it
For treats, I try to give them within an hr of eating enzymes rather than mixing up specific treats with enzymes and all

Midwestern Dog Food Recall
Hi all, Midwestern has expanded their dog food recall after more dog deaths and some FDA testing. If you use any of the following foods, stop feeding them immediately: CanineX, Earthborn Holistic, Venture, Unrefined, Sportmix Wholesomes, Pro Pac, Pro Pac Ultimates, Sportstrail, Sportmix and Meridian...

Re: Enzymes no longer working
Hey Scarlet, I haven't had something similar but I have some ideas on what you can do. First off, the antibiotics you used aren't always great. They tend to kill both good and bad gut bacteria so the problem reoccurs soon after stopping. https://epi4dogs.com/antibiotics/ check out this for more info...

Re: Recommendations on Dosage with Diane's Enzymes
Thanks for replying. I know the standard dosages, but Diane's enzymes are close to double what Katara's current enzyme bottle says. They both provide enzyme measurements for 2.8 g of enzymes, so I'm fairly certain I'll need to adjust my current dose when transitioning.

Recommendations on Dosage with Diane's Enzymes
Hey friends, I ordered Diane's enzymes because the bottle from the vet is under half full and with the possible Canada-US border closure, better safe than sorry. Problem is the different levels between the enzymes are a bit tricky. I currently give 1/4 tsp, and I'm thinking of reducing to 1/8 or 3/1...

Re: New to the Community
Hey friends, I wanted to give an update. We're doing great over here! I've been gradually switching to Taste of the Wild, and Katara's doing even better on it! So the grain and extra fibre in the royal canin was probably causing some problems. Glad I switched and definitely will be avoiding grain fo...
