Jean,
The liver was a huge hit! Thank you so much. I also added water to the pan after frying so there was juice to put over his food with morsels of liver.
It’s always a great day when he eats well. Thank you again!

Re: Oliver’s journey….
Yes. He’s been eating his enzymes in cream cheese for months (vet is aware and approves). His poop always goes soft once he stopped the tylosin. He’s going to be a Tylan lifer. Right now with the tylosin his poops are solid and a brown color.

Re: Oliver’s journey….
Jean, What great suggestions! I’ll definitely get liver. Does it need to be beef liver? This morning he ate most of his kibble (starting that slow food change process). Yay. Poos are solid. Still giving tylosin 3/4 tsp twice daily (down from 1 tsp twice daily). I don’t think I’ll make any changes to...

Re: Oliver’s journey….
Update: Oliver’s poos are solid! Now…. He’s decided he does not want to eat his food. Ugh. I swear he’s doing this on purpose. He’s definitely a diva German Shepherd lol. I keep looking at him saying “you’re lucky you’re cute”. So I ordered another brand of grain free lamb and sweet potato. Nope. No...

Re: Oliver’s journey….
Another Oliver! I love it!! No, it’s quite a sight to outsiders that we get soooo excited about our pup’s poos. My Oliver sometimes goes through the I don’t want to eat that crap in that dog bowl as he looks over at my plate (he knows my food is forbidden). I swear he thinks he’s royalty. If there’s...

Re: Oliver’s journey….
Oh… never did I ever think I’d be running out to the yard, I’m my robe, to look at 💩 poo. I can only imagine what my neighbors must think. Oh, don’t forget the “touchdown” signal I make when he poos are normal and yell “yes!! Awesome poop!! We got this. Good boy!” 😆 Just an insight on my daily poop ...

Re: Oliver’s journey….
Thank you for the replies. Oliver if anything is teaching me patience. I’m so happy that I’m not the only one going through this. Just knowing that gives me a lot of hope. I’m still playing with the dosage. Did 3/4 teaspoon a day for about a week which worked for a few days. His stools are harder un...

Oliver’s journey….
Well thank you for everyone for crossing hands and paws for Oliver. Did a very slow withdrawal of the Tylosin (3 week slow wean). Within one week of completing the tylosin, here came the yellow mustard watery stools and vomiting. Saw the vet three days later and Oliver has lost 4 pounds . He is down...

Re: Fingers crossed for Oliver
Thank you to everyone and your amazing support. Starting the slow withdrawal now. I did try proviable in the early days but it did not agree with him. Caused diarrhea despite me slowly introducing it. However, the first few months after diagnosis, I was a wreck. I understand that I MUST only try one...

Fingers crossed for Oliver
Hello everyone in our EPI world, Oliver is almost finished his second 45 day tylosin regimen. Will start a very slow withdrawal per Olesia’s suggestion. The slow withdrawal after the 45 days was suggested because Oliver needed a second round of tylosin. Please keep your fingers crossed that this wil...
