Re: Poop 😬

Hi Patsy, The peas are visible so we’ll pick them out. That’s naughty the dry version having chicken oil in it! When Toby was on Purina proplan HA he was fine on the wet food but the same in dry food gave him diarrhoea. As for his poop we’ve not noticed them dark on the outside and yellow inside but...

Re: Poop 😬

Thanks Pam, Jill & Jean for your replies. A lot to take on board so I’ve taken notes 😊 We’re currently reluctant to change his food just incase he does have IBD as well as EPI, the vet has suggested that it could have been EPI all along and that he doesn’t have IBD but when he’s stable we might ...

Poop 😬

Hi all, question about Toby’s poop. His first poop of the day is firm but browny yellow in colour then his second and third are softer fatter and still a yellow brown. He’ll poop about 6/7 times a day and they’re all yellow brown and firm to formed but soft. Reading up on this type of poop is it’s n...

He’s a cavalier King Charles spaniel, 10 years old (11 at the end of the month) and we live in the UK. ...

Re: Hi all new member here 👋🏼😊

Hi Michaela, I’m wondering now why the vet thinks it is an intramuscular injection when your dogs aren’t having any issues with they injections 🤔 I’ll definitely ask if she can give it subcutaneous from now on. Poor Toby :( Nikki has been getting weekly B12 injections for years and never IM. Maybe y...

Re: Hi all new member here 👋🏼😊

Hi Barb, Thanks for that information, I’ll mention it on Monday at Toby’s next appointment. The Wonderlabs pills I think are to pricey to get over here and Jean has already mentioned the brand available here of which we’ll be using once his injections have finished. Thanks again We gave Kolby B12 in...

Re: Hi all new member here 👋🏼😊

The B12 is dark pink in colour. I’ll ask about another injection site as she goes for the muscle area in his back. I can’t say exactly where as I held him the first time and the nurse did the second time. It did look like she pinched up his skin and she is using the smallest needle. I thought it wou...

Re: Hi all new member here 👋🏼😊

Hi Jean, Thanks for the chat yesterday. It’s a shame there aren’t more Ian’s around the country 😊 Boating life is good until you need regular vet visits 🙈😁 but so far so good as we have family in the area to give us lifts. Thanks for the reminder for the results. I’ve just gotta hope my brain rememb...

Re: Hi all new member here 👋🏼😊

Hi Jill, This is my third dog now on heart meds and it is a magical tablet. I keeping my fingers crossed that someone on here has a dog with both conditions and whether EPI affects the vetmedin or not. It’ll be a question I’ll be asking my vet on Monday but I’m not expecting them to have an answer s...
