Re: Sushi's Saga
That is interesting. Are both strengths on the enzyme bags the same? 6x or 8x? Mickey had pancreatitis and a consultant here sometimes, Dr. Penny, told me "just because you are using enzymes on his food now doesn't mean you can increase his fat content of his diet". More than 10% fat in h...

Re: Sushi's Saga
Hi everyone, Sushi has been on 1/4 teaspoon of slippery elm since Dec. 22, 2024. Her stomach rumblings, passing gas have improved although not 100% eliminated. Is slippery elm an indefinite thing or should she be gradually weaned down? I feel that I have finally conquered the enzyme dose and adjustm...

Re: Enzyme Diane still the best price/quality?
thanks V :) for sharing this with us..... it does work... we now need to figure out if using enteric coated capsules can save us even more money :) It does save money on enzymes. 1 kilo used to last me 4 months using the incubation method. Now 1 kilo lasts me from 6 to 8 months. But the cost of cap...

Re: NINA
Congratulations Pam with Nina. When I see story of people adopting a special needs pet, I cannot imagine how big your hearts are. Hope everything goes well for Nina and you. Thank you for sharing Tucker's problems. My Sushi is so food-driven that she gets aggressive, drools so much that we keep a ra...

Re: Eddie's new regimen With Links
Right now, Capsuline has 20% off all their vegetarian capsules so I am going to stock up. I am thinking of encapsulating slippery elm in regular flavoured capsules also.
Note that from Capsuline, delayed-release and enteric coated capsules are vegetarian not gelatin.

Re: Eddie's new regimen With Links
Hi Jeremy and everyone, I was going to post sharing my experience with HPMC delayed released capsules. But you started so I will continue in your thread. Hope it's OK with you. I use HPMC delayed-released capsules from Capsuline. Size 0 is the only size it comes in. Capsuline is the only company I c...

B12 test
Hi experts, Sushi is going for a heartworm test and vaccines. The new vet has not given heart worm to Sushi and wants to do a test. Anyhow, I thought I would get a B12 test too. Question-does doggie need to be fasted for B12? I was thinking to do a TLI but decided not. I read the new guidelin...

Re: Sushi's Saga
Ok. I will try the treats method. The trainers asked us to not feed since hungry dogs learn faster. I can't give her a big whopping meal during the class so I still fed her. I am not worried about Sushi being overweight. I will just keep the feeding up. I think Jeremy had to give his dog 300%? Thank...
