As far as I am aware, you are correct. Enzymes do not increase the TLI values, regardless if they are working or not. It's not like the folate and B12.
It might affect it minorily, but that is why it is recommended to be fasted.

Re: New Page on "possible" Cost Savings with enzymes
It happens mostly in the stomach and small intestines. With most absorption happening in the small and large intestines. Acid reflux is usually caused when the stomach makes too much acid. Either because of it trying to break down the food, or their stomachs just make a lot. Omeprazole is usually gi...

Re: New Page on "possible" Cost Savings with enzymes
In America, side effects are weird. When they do the human trials, if anyone reports any side effects, they slap them on the box. It's more of an anti lawsuit tactic. I remember when the COVID vaccines were coming out. One doctor posted on the government website, that it turned him into the hulk. Th...

Re: When to test...please help advise
It didn't really help Eddie either. Well, it seemed to make him more tired. That was about it. None of the herbal remedies have helped Eddie.

Re: New Page on "possible" Cost Savings with enzymes
It should take 20-30 minutes once the capsules hit their stomach. Well it's really once it hits any liquid. It is possible that the enzymes aren't hitting the food fast enough. You can try to give the capsules before feeding. I had the most luck with giving the capsules after Eddie ate about half of...

Another option to try instead of prednisone, is CBD oil. Anecdotally, it can have anti-inflammatory effects.
I can't say it will help, but I do know it is safe for dogs. I have tried it on Eddie at numerous stages.

Re: When to test...please help advise
I happen to have a lot of experience with immune-suppressants. Eddie was on 4 at one point, including high doses of prednisone. The amount of information I have in my brain is way too high and I can't quite seem to get in onto this forum in a coherent way. The biggest thing I have to say, if you are...

Re: New Page on "possible" Cost Savings with enzymes
Delayed and enteric coated is the same thing. They are both coated as to protect from stomach acid. From my attempts, 3/4th full size 00 capsules, is about 1/4th. So two are roughly 1/2 of a teaspoon, which is about half of what is recommended per cup of food. For me, it wasn't so much of a cost sav...

Re: New Page on "possible" Cost Savings with enzymes
Yes them biting the capsules is bad. For two main reasons, one the dry enzymes can stick to their mouth and cause sores. Two, the whole purpose of the capsules is to have the enzymes bypass the stomach acid. The way I give the capsules is with lunch meat. I try to find wet lunch meat. Stuff that is ...
