Re: Thorin advice needed

Hello, are you able to get Creon (for humans)? If you can, check back here for how much to use. Otherwise, can you buy dog enzymes from abroad? They certainly have them, and as they are non- prescription should get through customs. In the UK, try Chemeyes.co.uk, though Brexit may slow delivery down....

Re: Tylan update

That’s good to know. Presumably you have a prescription from your own vet.

Re: Panzym - stopped working

What anti allergy injections is she having?
there are folks on here who who have used a Apoquel? Another is called cytopoint. Has any vet checked on the side effects of these ? I’m not a vet so I can’t comment on this!

Re: Panzym - stopped working

Another thought, I was puzzled by Betty being tubby, then realised Marti was the same. Wasted muscles , but solid , lethargic and had epi poo. Hungry and thirsty. This was a long time ago, when epi knowledge was even worse. I am mentioning this because you should be aware of the concurrent condition...

https://www.vetuk.co.uk/dog-supplements-cat-supplements-pancreatic-supplements-c-5_9/panzym-concentrated-pancreatic-enzyme-powder-p-501 Your vet is wrong. I’m glad you’re not changing your panzym dose. Marti weighed 24 kegs. I tsp per meal three times a day. Betty is 11kgs so should be a tiny bit mo...

Re: Sudden increase in grass eating

Do you mean enema, not edema? In which case, I’ve never read of an epi dog needing one, usually quite the opposite! Mine only eat grass to throw up. There must be discomfort, so maybe a vet can tell you whether you need an antacid or antibiotic? If you’ve never had a problem with the enzyme dose, I ...

Re: Panzym - stopped working

Not crazy. My cocker and I could communicate by telepathy from far away. Weird but true . He was weird anyway. Never soak panzym or any uk/EU enzymes on the food. It starts digesting immediately and turns food to smelly sick. I’m impressed she eats it. You can help future mouth problems by cleaning ...

Re: Panzym - stopped working

I agree with Jill about B12 causing strange behaviour. Marti was really depressed, confused, eventually thinking night was day, keeping me up. I told a disbelieving vet that I wanted a blood test for it, he refused the test and reluctantly said he’d give her a B12 shot. The next day she was a new do...

Re: Panzym - stopped working

Hello to you and Betty, from Yorkshire. I too learnt to be pro-active with vets. That photo is not the epi poo. I would go along with Jean’s opinion. Shedding the bowel lining is slimy dark blood and gooey bits. What food are you using? My other thought is that I guess Betty is about 14kgs or so. I ...

Re: Potential EPI Corgi pup?

Hello and welcome from Yorkshire. I guess your pup is now four to five months, I can understand the protocols the vet is taking, but sometimes the medicines have side effects that confuse the picture. Prokolin helps with good bacteria , and contains kaolin, alias china clay. This is used to firm up ...
