Re: Creon Dosing Experience
i am concerned about this post "As research, for cats, the typical starting dose is 1/4 to 1/2 of a 4,000-unit capsule (or equivalent dose of other formulations) per meal. For small dogs (weighing less than 25 pounds) the typical starting dose is 1/2 to 1 full 4,000-unit capsule (or equivalent ...

Re: OH NOOOO-Loose stools out of the blue
yes, B12 can slip....if he has done very well on the B12 Wonderlab capsules for a long time, then it would be unlikely that it is the B12, However, that being said.... i have learned never to say never with these dogs. If you rule out everything else, and the loose stools continue... THEN i would ru...

Re: Creon Dosing Experience
i tend to be on the conservative side with meds, at least when trialing something.... so my thought would be give 1.5 capsules if you want to "up" the CREON dose a bit. See how this goes with Rowan's gut flora composition and digestive acids. if still not acceptable after a week then up to...

REgarding dogs on CREON..... there are many that may or may not respond.... BUT.... the information of how much of a dose based on dog's weight will not give you ...

yes, Prebiotic and probiotics are good to add.... BU T.... that being said... do not do just yet. Strip things down and give it a few days, see if this helps or not.... THEN you can add one thing at a time....if when you want to try adding pre/probiotics..... start with simple "SLippery ELm pow...

Re: OH NOOOO-Loose stools out of the blue
Hi Kellie, Jill (and Barb too) summed it up perfectly! This is most likely a SID flare-up....it has all the markings of SID. The first thing i would do is exactly what they suggested, just increase the enzymes (start with 1/8 tsp more with each feeding and see if that helps any... if it does, assess...

Hi Kate, Emma and Crickett too! Thanks for contacting us. and a HUGE thank you to YOU for already scheduling a TLI test to confirm or not whether Emma has EPI. Be sure to "food" fast her 12 hours prior to the blood being drawn for the TLI test AND ask the vet to also draw enough blood for ...

Re: Very Low B12 but EPI Negative
If the folate reading was 7.7 or below..... your pet most likely has small proximal distal disease.... although this is more or less a catch-all phrase..... when you see many of the same symptoms as you do in an EPI patient, but it is not EPI,,,,then is most often is, some sort of food sensitivity, ...

Re: Atypical case? Possible EPI but Vet not sure
Hi Rob, i did want to clarify one other point..... if this was confirmed EPI..... (2.5 or less) or even confirmed possible SEPI (below 5.75) if #3 didn't work with the forti flora, i would have suggested that your vet try Visbiome or Proviable (probiotic)and if these were also a bust THEN i would ha...
