Re: EPI, IBD, or something else?

Sounds like you and your vet are on top of things and Freyja is on her way to healing. My only concern is the food. I'm sure the vet is worried about grain free because of all the social media hype about grain free, however, in my opinion it's best to treat the condition you know your dog has and th...

Re: German Shepherd with skin issues- ideas?

Oh the skin issues with a German Shepherd - boy can I relate! So just to give you my experience: after Doc was diagnosed with EPI I switched his food to meet EPI protocol - he began itching and licking and had horrible hot spots and shaking ears, etc. - he had yeast infection all over his body and y...

Re: disturbed nights

Hi Mel. Jill gave you good information as a lot of us have noticed in the beginning our pups having to potty more because they are drinking more possibly due to the enzymes but it typically works itself out quickly. However, a possible urine sample/trip to the vet to rule out a UTI is probably a goo...

Re: Another Finn Update

I'm so so sorry to read that you had to let Finn cross the Rainbow Bridge. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do for them is to help them cross before they suffer too much and it sounds like that's exactly what you did - you put Finn's comfort and quality of life above your own wishes. Happy to ...

Re: copraphagia

Hi there. You said she's gained all the weight back, but what to do the poops look like? If they are a 2 or 3 on the poop scale then this could be behavioral, however, I wonder if you could answer a few questions to help us get some better insight: what food are you feeding? what enzymes are you usi...

Re: Pankaid causes odour

Hi Ann - welcome to our EPI family. I was one of the fortunate ones and never really had an issue with the odor - except the occasional fart bombs LOL although his breath was horrid - not that I let him get that close - when he was eating his poop prior to being diagnosed LOL. Hopefully with Olesia'...

Re: EPI, IBD, or something else?

Hi Stephanie - welcome to our EPI family. Your Freyja is gorgeous by the way. I'm so sorry you've been going through so much but I'm glad to hear you have a diagnosis of EPI. Did they tell you what the level was this time and did they also by chance re-test the Folate (or do you have that from the p...

Re: Hills Rx i/d Stress Stew -- need to switch?

Just wanted to check in. - have you found something similar yet? It's so frustrating when you can't get the food you need or they change the formulation of the food. I've gone through it twice and I have a really sensitive boy. Hope you've had luck finding something. Please keep us posted.

Re: Waiting for test results

Hi Linda. A big welcome to you and Neko. So glad you are getting the test done and have started the Proviable. I was taken back a bit by them telling you it would take 14days to get the test results - even with COVID I don't think I've heard of anyone waiting that long for the test results. In any e...
