Re: New EPI diagnosis
Three meals is fine. Just split the amount evenly. The eating the stool should stop once everything is leveled out. With the adjusted enzymes the undigested food should lessen and make the stool less appetizing. As for the free feeding, my recommendation is not to leave it down for more than an hour...

Re: New EPI diagnosis
Hi, and let me first tell you that Cali is absolutely adorable! I’m going to agree with Olesia in everything she has advised you of this far. Yes, you’ll be feeding more food to her thru the day, but split into 4 meals would be ideal. I will also ask if the b12 was checked. In the little ones, and e...

Re: Low phosphorus dog food
If you are interested in pre-made raw, you might want to look at Darwin’s. I don’t recall what the phosphorous levels of their regular diets are, but they make a specific kidney diet. All of their diets are also EPI friendly. There are numerous articles and sites online that discuss lower phosphorou...

Re: Low phosphorus dog food
Hey Eva. What were the phosphorous numbers? Were the other numbers normal? Were they high normal? Did they do a urinalysis as well? Taking just the SDMA number doesn’t show much. While it’s a great early indicator of kidney disease, it shouldn’t be taken in its own. As far as low phosphorous foods, t...

Re: Sick after giving powdered pancreas
Hello and welcome. May I ask what type of dog you have and how much you are feeding at a time? May I also ask how you are preparing the enzymes and food. Are you allowing the enzymes and food to “incubate”? Are you moistening the food to mix the enzymes into? You say you are feeding meat, does that ...
