Re: New Member with a few questions

Hi Jeanette, thank you for taking such good care of Troy, he's lucky to have such a a good grandma :) Can you post who makes these enzymes or a link to them please. If they are the ones I pulled up, they are not the correct enzymes to treat EPI. https://www.transformationenzymes.com/assets/DigestZym...

Re: EPI dog (Ivy) not eating well

We know this all too well unfortunately  Have you checked for mouth sores from the enzymes? Nikki absolutely hates the enzymes and we had to beg her to eat (she's on steroids now for PF's and is eating great). I ended up switching to Pan-Tenex which doesn't have that chemical smell like most en...

Re: If you had a choice of enzyme, which would you pick?

What worked for us: 1. Viokase - it works great but it's expensive. 2. Pancrezyme - worked just as good as Viokase 3. PancrePlus - I'm not 100% sure if this is the one since it's been a few years but one gave Nikki mouth sores, other than that it worked great. http://www.vetone.net/Default/CatHeader...

Re: Sick after giving powdered pancreas

Nikki has been dealing with stomach issues for years, which I am convinced are related to the enzymes. Stomach cramps, loud gurgling noises, not drinking/eating, gas/pain, eating grass, colitis. Test after test at Texas A&M didn't really show much, they think she has GI motility but the meds didn't ...

Re: Opal the corgi - vomiting and bloody runny stool

If you can't get if figured out you may want to run this diarrhea panel. https://cms2.netnews.cz/files/attachments/67031/28448-realpcr-canine-feline-diarrhea-panels.pdf Many years ago Nikki came down with bloody diarrhea which had nothing to do with her EPI, it was Cryptosporidium. You're welcome.....

Re: Walmart PetRx

Thanks for clarifying - we have known for a while that Tylan requires a prescription from the vet so when the WalMart post came up it sounded as if you didn't have to have a prescription so I just wanted to clarify for others. No, my post was strictly about the price difference purchasing from Walm...

Thanks for sharing! Did it still require a prescription authorization from your vet?
Yes, you can send in a prescription or have Walmart call your vet for authorization.
