Re: Activated charcoal
I am not sure. Are you using it as a method of picking up toxins from ingesting a poison substance, or daily? If daily I would suggest waiting an hour or two after Creon. I do not know this for sure. Jill I only gave it to Sandie twice, the vet suggested it as a way to help with flatulence, but I a...

Activated charcoal
Hello!
A quick question:
Does activated charcoal interfere with enzyme activity (like Creon)
Thank you!

Re: Saying Goodbye
Dear Danielle, I am new to EPI4Dogs, but reading your words brings back too many memories of the last months. I lost faith in Veterinarians, and for many good reasons. Cora, Maggie, and Sandie - they all suffered from medical mistakes, and care that could - and should ! - have been so much better. I...

Re: New member
Hello and welcome! I am so sorry for your loss of Maggie. It is so hard to let our pups go. She was so lucky to have you. And you and Sandie have been through so much. But it sounds like you are turning the corner now. A 20 minute walk sounds incredible. I agree that she should be retested since sh...

Re: New member
Hi and welcome to our EPI family. I am so sorry you lost your Maggie - it always so hard when we have to say goodbye. I'm glad you have found a new vet that you like and trust - you and Sandie sure have been through a lot. With Sandie testing barely above the clinical diagnosis for EPI, we recommen...

No, Sandie wasn't fasted. She had eaten about 6 hours before the blood was taken.

Trypsin-like Immunoreactivity result 3,60 (A) ug/l Ref. 5.7 - 45.2 Those are the reference values, not sure they are the same for every country. And she was taking enzymes already, so I also don't know if it affects the results. No fat was found in the poops, but I wasn't giving her any fat in the ...

Re: New member
Hello, Maggie died of cancer :( :( As for Sandie, yes, she was tested for TLI, we had the results 6 days ago. It was 3,60 ug/l. She was also tested for the presence of fat in the feces, and for Leismaniasis - both were negative. It seems that this vet finally did what others didn't see, all they cou...
