Re: New to EPI

Hi, Kelsea. I believe the enzymes are supposed to marinate with the food, to begin digestion. Maybe if you add a little less water the food won't get so soft, but at the same time if she is eating it I'd just let it go soggy. Especially if you see improvement. My Tucker's breath sometimes smells lik...

Re: Poop

Hey Madelon! I just read with interest your note to Yogibear about slippery elm having less chance of sibo recurrence. I may be reacting to the word'slippery', and imagining I'm seeing wetter poo when I give it to Tucker, but here's my question---If I try again, should I continue the full dose of Ty...

Re: Sibo

Tiffany, Hi, it's Pam. I knew I had read Yogibear somewhere before, so I went back and read your previous post. Am I right that he/she was just diagnosed a month ago? As always, these ladies will tell you they are not vets, but trust me they know their stuff. Here is what I have learned, from here &...

Re: Our Shepherd has been diagnosed with EPI this year and we're coming into some complications.

Hey Josh. I'm an early bird, it's teacher work day, and I get to go in a little later, so it looks like you got me first! My story is a little different, but I just wanted to tell you that you will be hearing from some very experienced people who can help with many of your pup's issues. One thing, t...

Re: new to EPI

I'm not sure I have the exact answer to your question, Carrie, but a few minutes ago, when I was outside letting my dogs have their morning "relief", in my flashlight I caught a glimpse of Tucker and his muscles. When I see him running, I always think of a race horse...he is ripped! And it reminded ...

Re: My shepherd still has diarrhea - need suggestions

That was quick!---I used turkey broth to marinate Tucker's food & enzymes, but then I read on here about poultry fat not working with some EPI dogs, so I'm trying to go without & just use water. My vet was concerned that it would taste bad & he wouldn't eat, but---I suppose once you've eaten poop (T...

Re: new to EPI

Hi, Carrie. I wonder, has anyone mentioned a low fiber diet for your Josie? That is what you will normally read, here, and I'm thinking your fruits & veggies may be tipping the scales. Could you use meat, instead, when you are feeding her the other stuff? Just a thought, and I feel so bad for your h...
