Re: 4TH JULY CELEBRATIONS

Thanks, Jeanne. I'll definitely try the exercise idea. I just erased my rant on the effect fireworks have on dogs, other pets, wild horses, bison, gators...And the fact that veterans often have their PTSD triggered by the sound of them. Fireworks are here to stay, and I can only hope the current eco...

Re: Help !

Thank you so much for the update! Since things have improved a little bit, I would just keep it up, for now. This process can take awhile. Tucker's poop has never been as firm as my four other dogs', but it is very pick-up-able, so I've decided to be happy with the vast improvement. In the beginning...

Re: Help !

Bev---I feel like you were here in the past; Bodie's name & picture seem so familiar. When we have to start making changes, we are supposed to make one at a time, but for future reference here's my two cents--- I just want to say hang in there, and do what you can to keep that sweet boy up and r...

Re: New EPI diagnosis

Can she tolerate canned pumpkin? Tucker loves it, and it can help firm up the poop. I also remember somebody said alfalfa rabbit pellets(?) firmed their pup's poop, too, and then I was informed that they actually make a version meant for dogs. Re: Preserving uneaten food?

I'm not on staff! I'm just an EPI mom who's sharing my experience. I guess you can just try it & see how it goes. My vet told me I didn't need to marinate the food at all, according to the maker of the enzymes he first prescribed, but I learned on the forum that food should be marinated. I just ...

Re: Preserving uneaten food?

Maybe reduce her portions, and if she seems hungry, feed her more often? And, unlike before treatment, she is being nourished by the food with enzymes, just fewer calories when it's hot out. Hopefully she won't lose too much weight. I actually marinate Tucker's food for only 5 minutes, because I just...
