Re: New Page on "possible" Cost Savings with enzymes
Oh, OK then. Thank you! This evening I just put them one at a time in the back of her throat & I followed each one with a little disk of Slim Jim. I used four, filled all the way, because there was still some room at the top. Like I said, I've got this oblong capsule filler, and since the capsul...

Re: New Page on "possible" Cost Savings with enzymes
So I tried peanut butter this morning. Having no idea which meal she pooped out at 1:00 this afternoon, it was the softest yet. But, Jeremy, since you had the same results at first, I'm gonna give this a couple more days. What on earth is soft lunch meat with liquidy stuff on it? Spam? Liverwurst? I...

Re: New Page on "possible" Cost Savings with enzymes
Yes, you're right. Some people open those capsules into the food, so it wasn't that. I can't imagine the lack of moisture mattered, either. Olesia actually did her science thing, to come up with the amount to put into the capsules, and that's what I did. The cheese, though, may be interesting. I cou...

Re: New Page on "possible" Cost Savings with enzymes
Last night I filled 4 capsules (00 enteric coated) 3/4 full, to supplement 2 cups grain-free kibble. I gave Nina a tiny piece of cheese, then wrapped two capsules in a small piece of cheese & put it in the back of her throat, then closed her jaw. I was concerned that I could see her chomping dow...

Re: New Page on "possible" Cost Savings with enzymes
Well, the two capsules I described, enteric coated size 00, each filled 3/4 full, have the same effect as one teaspoon of enzymes.
Does that help, for starters?

Re: NINA
THAT's the conondrum! I can just rudely hold all my dogs' mouths open & stick a butter-covered pill in the back of their throat, but I'm not so sure about Nina, and I am so pleased by how well she's doing, I don't want to mess up. SO I'm hoping that someone who has done this successfully ( on di...

Re: New Page on "possible" Cost Savings with enzymes
Andrea, I have read on a note from Olesia, that two 00 enteric coated capsules, filled 3/4 full, are enough to treat one cup of kibble. So those two capsules have the same effect as one teaspoon of enzymes added to the kibble & incubated. Myself, I am trying to find out if it's ok to add them to...

Re: Enzyme Diane still the best price/quality?
How do you administer the pills?
I always place the capsules containing SE and B12 right in with the food. BUT I am wondering, if I do that with the enzymes, might she puncture the enteric-coated capsules & nullify the effect?
