Re: Do I feed the amount of pantenex with each "meal"?
I agree with the 1 teaspoon of enzymes per cup of food to start. We kept Kolby on that dose his whole life and that worked for him. Each dog is different. When he was first diagnosed many years ago, our vet had only had one case of a dog with EPI, so he told us to add another teaspoon per cup for &qu...

Re: My Boy Tucker
Dear Pam, I am so sorry for your loss, but I know that Tucker is always with you. You took such loving care of him. Whenever one of our dogs pass, we know that we have received so much more from them than we have given. As you walk the path of grief toward healing, know that we walk with you. The em...

Re: Bad smell-enzymes help! Getting the right balance?!
I'm afraid we don't have a lot of conclusive evidence on why some dogs smell when they start the enzymes and some don't. Our Kolby was on enzymes for almost 11 years and he never had an odor, and yet I have read so many posts that people have written where the smell was almost unbearable. It must ha...

Re: Our attendance at the GSD Natl
Thank you for the report, Olesia. I am so glad you went. It sounds like you made a real impact with lots of information for people to take back to their communities about EPI. And so many beautiful German Shepherds!
Thank you.

Re: Reference Ranges
Hello, welcome to you and your pup. The beginning stage is the hardest while you are trying to get everything balanced and you are worrying about your pup. Try not to get too overwhelmed. It will get better. One thing that really helped us was keeping a daily journal/log of everything we gave our pu...

Re: A few days in
KW, I am so sorry your sweet pup has cancer. We had a similar experience with our Kolby. After 11 years of treating EPI successfully, he became distressed one evening and when we took him to the vet, he was filled with fluid, related to an aggressive form of cancer. We were shocked beyond words........
