Re: New, sorting it out, curious about CBD oil
Ace is at the point where he doesn't even stop eating when I tent the scruff to give him his insulin. He may pause of I'm taking too long to give him the shot but otherwise is oblivious.

Re: Ace Update
We've officially made it past the 1 year anniversary of Ace's epi diagnosis. We've been fairly stable with this for the better part of the year thanks to the wonderful advice from everyone here. We're consistently in the 38-40 lb range after starting off the journey at 24 lb and change. The diabetes...

Re: Ace Update
Thanks! I didn't know if it was necessary or not for observation. I hadn't been instructed to do so. More just thinking out loud.

Re: Ace Update
I haven't been in here in forever. Well and had crossed the 40lb threshold and for the most part has been doing well. We've had a few hiccups along the way but nothing major. I work for a college and have been incredibly busy so we haven't done further into switching from vetsulin yet. I may do that...

Re: Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here! This group has been invaluable for Ace and myself. If not for this group, I don't think we would have gotten to the point we are at now!

Re: Looking for advice
I'm a relative newbie here as well having a border collie just freshly diagnosed in June. I thought the same thing when the vet told me the price of the enzymes. I scoured the internet and found this group. I've been using dianes enzymes since the beginning and Ace is now lingering around 36-37 lbs....

Re: Survey for those with Diabetic dogs....
Thanks so much for this. I'll definitely follow up with the survey as well. Work has been busy, put an offer in on a new house, etc. so I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off and no time to be on here lately.

Re: 9-4-18 Taste of the Wild Food alert!
Interesting. I would think that if a claim like that is made, there better be research into multiple batches across different variations of the food with a clear explanation of how the claim is being substantiated. I'm seeing a whole new career opportunity as an independent pet food investigator. :D

Re: Ace Update
That's kind of along the lines of what I was thinking. I have to touch base with the vet and see when she thinks we should get another curve to see how the big picture looks internally. Madelon. Just trying to do my part and pay it forward from all of the great advice I've received so far. I know ho...
