Re: Housebreaking and EPI

Catnip, Cat Attract, different kitty litters, different litter boxes in different locations. The thing that seems to be slowly working is repetition. We just keep sticking him in the litter box! Ah, the house is Montgomery-proofed, so his little misdemeanors are easily cleaned up. Its not like befor...

Re: Housebreaking and EPI

Yeah, usually by six weeks my foster kittens are pros at the litter box. Montgomery will be eight in March! Oh, well. Better every day, right? He's only had two accidents to-day, so that's pretty awesome.

Re: Housebreaking and EPI

STILL working on house-breaking Montgomery. When he was so small and so sick, litter box training was hopeless. Everything stuck to him. Paper training him just created a life-long shredder of paper (really, its one of his favourite things to do). So its been a challenge. We just keep putting him in...

Re: Pain Meds and EPI

Our veterinarian gave Montgomery a shot of beuprenorphine (sp?) which lasts three days. The first time he got it, he was looped. The second time she cut the dose down and he was much better. It had no ill effect on his digestion, though the shot is painful initially.

Vaccines And The Mobile Moggy

Montgomery is going in for his first set of vaccinations a week from Thursday. He will receive his very first FVCRP vaccine. He is seven and a half years old. When he was little, he was too sick to vaccinate. Now he's STRONG! He's also traveling with me most days, and there are some scary things I d...

Re: Non-EPI Related Pancreatitis Question

Well, she's back to the clinic to-morrow morning for x-rays. Yesterday she seemed to want to eat but stopped at actually tasting the food so we gave her a mertazopine (sp?). She ate. She did quite well. Then she drank like a fish and spent the night vomiting. To-day she won't eat on her own so she's...

Yes. We've begun giving her 1/4 tablet 10mg Pepcid once every twelve hours.

Re: Can enzymes cause snout sores?

What kind of a dish are you using? If you're using plastic bowls, they can cause a lot of problems, including acne and the like. Are you washing your dish after each meal?

Re: Non-EPI Related Pancreatitis Question

Our veterinarian doesn't seem to think its an obstruction. I'm going to ask her about X-Rays on Monday and see what she thinks. I can't afford an ultrasound. I've begun adding kelp to her feedings and will begin adding curcumin to-day. She vomited frothy watery stuff very early this morning. No food...

Re: Non-EPI Related Pancreatitis Question

Well, this morning there were two vomits. One was kibbles, unchewed and thrown up by one of the litter box (probably May). The other was a hairball, water, and some food (I don't think that was May, I think that was Maura. She was looking hairballish before bed but you take your life in your hands h...
