Re: Slippery elm
Thanks again for the suggestions. Will try the crushed tabs as soon as they arrive. Maybe they will work better if they don’t smell as much as the powder. I’ve tried all kinds of toppers but she’s so picky🙄. I cook for her as she won’t eat any kind of dog food, dry or canned☹️. Lord knows it’s a bat...

Re: Huge loss... RIlind passed away
I cried when I read of his passing posted by Pit Sisters. Rilands post literally saved Tinkerbell’s life. My vet was at a loss for a diagnosis and when I read about him, it clicked that that what was wrong with her. Pit Sisters gave me your Site info after her confirmed diagnosis. I am forever grate...

Re: Slippery elm
Hi all, thanks so much for all the answers. I’m giving the enzymes as suggested and I got the B12 capsules with the intrinsic factor. Also she seems better with Metronidazole than Tylan so we’re on that. The main problem is she hates the food with the enzymes on it so I got the capsule maker. That m...

Slippery elm
Hi all, have q few questions about the slippery elm powder. How should I space it with her metronidazole? She gets that in the AM after breakfast. Should I give SE with the evening meal? Also does anyone have any suggestions for names of a good multi vitamin, probiotic and B-12? I’m using CoB12alequ...

Re: New problem/UTI
Thanks Jill. She is on a probiotic so we’ll just keep limping along as we are for now and hopefully she’ll get more stable soon. Feels like one step forward and two steps back. Very frustrating but you guys are so helpful. Thank you again.

New problem/UTI
Hey everyone, I have a question. Tinkerbell has developed a UTI and Vet gave her an antibiotic injection called Convenia. It lasts 2 weeks and avoids having to give it orally. I’m wondering if it’s going to make her SID worse. She’s still on the Tylan, B12, probiotic and he also gave her Entyce whic...

Re: Creon vs powdered enzymes
Oh thank you guys for the replys. I was feeling like a really bad mom for giving people food with the enzymes. Last night she had beef pot pie, with enzymes but no peas) and ate every bite. So I will cook for her and not worry too much about the Rx diet. Keep it low fiber best I can and see if I can...

Re: Foodfurlife powdered additive
Has anyone used Foodfurlife additive? It’s a powder you mix with raw or cooked meat. It supposedly has many good nutrients and all you add is the meat. I’m having so much trouble getting Tinkerbell to eat. She’s so picky and doesn’t like any canned food. I was cooking for her prior to EPI. She loves...
