Re: B12 Testing

Nikki, I just went to the B12 page, and I don't see anything about taking her off before the test, BUT, I know you're supposed to because I've been through it twice. It is suggested to stop giving B12 seven days before the blood draw. Last time, I stopped ten days to be extra safe. This gives a true...

Re: Newly Diagnoised

I use Mother Hubbard and Fruitables, but I'm not sure of the ingredients.

Tucker gets a few each day, without enzymes, which may be why his poo is a little soft. Just a little, though.

Re: Tucker's Results Are In!!!!!!!

Debbie--- Tucker's B12 was 666 after no pills for ten days, so that's why I decided not to give him very much of it. If Storm is low, then you definitely need to supplement. The runny poops after two weeks of B12 pills, I wouldn't think there was a connection. Are you treating for SID? Seems it's al...

Re: new with questions

We are so glad you are here!!!!! PLEASE post things like this--- What kind of enzymes are you using? How are you preparing her food? Test scores. If the vet didn't provide them, please ask them to be emailed to you. What you said about the chocolate is interesting to me because Tucker ate 13 cupcake...

Re: Got To The Bottom Of The "Fits"

Have you ever tried dipping the capsule in soft butter or coconut oil? They slide down my maltipoo's (non EPI) gullet. Oh course, your fingers get slippery, and that can be challenging, trying to hold them still. You have to hold their jaw shut, which would be harder on a cat, I'm thinking. Is he bl...

Re: Puking bile over and over again the past few days

Hi, we don't have the exact same symptoms, but I have noticed lately that Tucker is very VERY gassy, and his breath smells putrid, so I figure SID is making its annual/biannual appearance at our house, too. I started increasing his slippery elm, but after a few days it hasn't resolved. SO, back to 4...

Re: Tucker's Results Are In!!!!!!!

Hi Kellie! Happy Mother's Day!

Tucker's poo looks good (still a lot), but it is a little soft, even on the herding dogs recipe, so I just don't know.

Soooo glad to hear Kohle is doing well! Take Care --- Pam

Re: Phoebe, Chronic Pancreatitis and Voracious/Starving

Happy Mother's Day, to a wonderful dog momma. My only input, in case you haven't already heard, is to start the probiotics slowly. If I didn't do this, Tucker would get diarrhea every time. He has been on a steady course of Proviable for months, now, one capsule per day, but I started out sprinkling...

Re: New EPI Dog - Where do I buy powder?

If you are using Wonderlab B12, just empty the powder onto the food & put the tylan into the empty capsule. I hold the open capsule over the jar of tylan & pour it in with the measuring spoon. Some of it may land back in the jar, and then you can just add a little more. Put a little soft but...

Re: Newbie

What a great update! First off, there is nothing wrong with eggs, especially if you feed them near meal time & add an extra touch of enzymes. Between meals, I'd get some enzyme into the food & it should be fine. Eggs are an excellent food for your EPI dog. If I were you, I'd increase the sli...
