Re: Elvira, 10.5 month old GSD, recently diagnosed.
Julie--- In case this hasn't already been stated---You should feed her 150% the amount of food you would give her at her IDEAL weight, not what she weighs now. This will help with her weight gain, and like you said, she'd eat the moon, because she is used to feeling hungry. Tucker weighed 60, should...

Re: Quick question
Noooooo, I didn't know about feeding her that - they didn't tell me to do that! They just said her regular amount. Wow. I had no idea Pam. I appreciate the info. I have just been split feeding the five cups. Oh, she soooo won't mind getting more food. What is the reason in adding the extra? I am a ...

Re: Quick question
Hey Diane--- I just went back & skimmed over your notes, and I wonder if you know this...you probably do, but it's important, so--- You should be feeding 150% the amount of food that you would feed Houston when she weighed 95 pounds. So, if at 95 pounds her daily recommended feeding was 5 cups, ...

Re: Quick question
I think sometimes some new poop comes out at the same time as old poop, and they may look a little different. A possibility, since you are sure of her diet. Good for you, being vigilant. If she becomes gassy, has a rumbling tummy, or if her poo softens a bit, you will want to check out the SID page,...

Re: Elvira, 10.5 month old GSD, recently diagnosed.
Hi Julie--- I just wanted say WELCOME, and I'm glad you found this wonderful group that has helped I don't know how many EPI pet owners in the time it has existed. My advice is, listen to Jill, keep a journal of things you try, and post all the test results as soon as you can. This will be very help...

Re: Desperate! Help with One Question Please
I'm late to the show...is there any reason not to mix up a big plate of scrambled eggs & mashed potatoes, topped with enzymes hidden by a scoop of cottage cheese? I surely must be missing something, with all the qualified people offering ideas. But to me, I'd just want food in her, whatever it i...

Re: Looking for a Treat Recipe
Thanks for the details, Olesia. Jill, I am so excited about Nina. Every time I have seen an EPI dog that needed rehoming, I've wondered how on earth that could be accomplished. Well, now I know. Read a story about a family that really needs help, casually respond that you're in FL, and you wish it c...
