Re: GSD with EPI
Hello on the assumption that you are using the correct enzymes and the correct ratio to food i would guess that the B12 is the big factor here this happened to my gal she had good poops but the weight just didn't increase all because the B12 was missing we need to ensure the B12 levels are in excess...

Re: Kenzie more problems
As Kenzie doesn't have EPI and in fact her TLI has gone up i would concentrate on the allergies first what about a hydrolyzed diet i would imagine you want to find something that works before you go away ...unless Millies can suggest something my gal didn't fair well when there was a high content of...

Re: Kenzie more problems
Well at least you may have got an answer ring Millies see if they will swap they may do at a small transport cost . We have seen in the past where the enzymes may mask another underlying condition which may be what has happened here especially with the TLI not coming in below 2.5 ...let us know how ...

Re: Trialing no Creon.......scared
Hello wow thats a lot of Creon we suggest that the starting dose is 1 creon 10 to 1 cup of food...some dogs do need a larger dose may be 1 25 to 1 cup of food it does depend on the dog and the PH balance in there gut. With Creon its trail and error as to how to administer some do as you are doing and...

Re: Returning to share an interesting story
Hello Thank you for sharing your story it sounds like your dog may be didn't have EPI as EPI dogs need enzymes for life and the Ctli test looks like it came back as negative the old test can be unreliable but it could be that at at that moment in time there were some other pancreas issues going on m...

Re: GSD keeps throwing up - only stops when on meds
Hello Lets start with the EPI basics all food must have enzymes with it this includes treats...we normally say 1 cup of food to 1 tsp of enzymes any food given without enzymes can cause a problem. Do you supplement with B12 ? It sounds like your dog may have acid reflux but we need to eliminate whet...

Re: New to EPI
Can you ring your vet and get all the results. We have seen cases were enzymes mask another underlying condition. But also enzymes can help in small intestine problems so i wondered whether the folate test was done as well. B12 for an epi dog needs to be above 600...so i am not sure what norm is on ...
