Re: Ticks treatment

Good morning. I have gone to a product that uses oils: cedarwood, peppermint and lemon grass mixed with a stabilizer. I spray on my gloved hands then rub on TJ legs and belly before going out. It is a deterrant, and seems to work. I however have picked 3 ticks off me so far. We are in western Washin...

Re: Any Tips on Enzyme Dosage?

Welcome. Too much enzyme can produce bad poops as well as not enough enzymes. Can you measure out 1 cup wet food and try 3/4 teaspoon of enzyme mixed up and incubated?
Not sure how much food is in 1 can of dog food.

Re: Optimal Incubation Time

I forget, did you say your vet did not want you to use Tylan for SID? If the pre/probiotic does not clear up the gas I would recommend a 45 day course of Tylan to clear it up. Also did your vet read the article you printed out for why a grain free diet? Just wonder his reasoning on insisting your do...

Re: Kimberly with Jake

Hi Kimberly, The amount of enzymes you use depends on the amount of food, not per meal. The start point is 1 level teaspoon per 1 cup dry kibble, stir together and add a small amount of room temperature liquid, stir all together so all kibbles are covered. Let incubate 20 to 30 mins then stir before...

Re: raw food

Hi Mel, I am one of those who says leave well enough alone. (ok, most of the time lol). Raw diets can be done just attention has to be paid to getting everything balanced.

Re: New EPI diagnosis

Hi Nicole, just wanted to say that both Kiya and TJ use/used Trazadone when we are on the boat. If we are going to have a particularly rough crossing over a bodY of water I will give TJ one 50mg tab (he is 20lbs)at least an hour before with food. It settles him down and he is more mellow. Any chance...

Re: Mouth irritation from enzymes or allergies?

It is good you are incubating longer and wiping the muzzle. You could also put a few kibble or ice chips in his water dish with a little water so he has to wash his mouth after enzymes .
