Re: B 12 question
The Wonderlab Pet Factor B12 capsules are equivalent to the shot.... however.... 1. the shots are given weekly (initially... and then re-tested... and then it is decided how often to give based on the 2nd B12 test results) 2. the B12 pills are given daily (until you are ready to re-test the B12 leve...

Re: Recently diagnosed GSD
sounds like a good idea. the softish one on the walk might be from the activity of walking...we appear to hear that often from other EPI dogs....... but i still think a pre+probiotic is a good idea especially since we know that all EPI dogs have SID going on to one degree or another. I am sure other...

And YES!!! food that doesn't optimally agree with our EPI dogs can really mess with their poos.......... effectively managi...

Re: Recently diagnosed GSD
THis is Olesia and not Jean, but YES... feel free to continue the probiotics.....the reason why i am suggesting this is because of the ever present SID (small intestinal dysbiosis) in all dogs struggling with EPI. Sooner or later the SID will get a wee bit out of control and the recommendation is to...

Re: Unwell GSD
HI Laura, this certainly doesn't sound like anything EPI related.... i am so sorry you are going thru this. I wish i had some reasonable suggestions what this might be but i honestly don't have a clue except for some possible toxin..... SUre hope you find out what is going on soonand that there is a...

Re: Recently diagnosed GSD
Hi Sara, Thank you so much for writing us about Reva and her newly diagnosed EPI. I will try to answer some of your questions. Weight gain...... it is recommended to feed EPI dogs 150% of what they normally would require until they gain back all the weight or weigh near where they should be. HOWEVER...

Re: Enzyme Fine Tuning Question
Hi... yes... when testing by increments of more or less enzymes... give the one-change-at-a time 3 days before you make the next change..... the reason for this is because transit time in dogs can range from anywhere between 12 hours to 72 hours.... and of course immediate too, if something doesn't ...

Re: I need help! GSD diagnosis
Oh this is a huge relief to hear.... i am so glad you are in good hands and that the vet wants to do more blood work first (non-invasive) and see what the results are BEFORE doing an endoscopy. This is the correct order of how things should happen when trying to ascertain if EPI is what is going on ...
